FVWM: galeon fullsize windows
I've just upgraded from 2.5.7 to 2.5.8, in both cases rebuild from the .src.rpm. Under 2.5.7 if I selected view-full screen in galeon, the window would become the size of the screen and I would not get a title bar. Under 2.5.8 the window resizes, but the title bar remains. Worse, the bottom of the window is now an equivelant amount below the bottom of the screen. I suspect this may be a galeon problem, as neither mozilla or opera behave this way. My question: Is there a a workaround I can use to get the old behaviour back? Upgrading galeon or switching to a different browser are not options at the moment. This is with galeon-1.2.10 on redhat 7.2 or redhat 9. Thanks and regards, Chris -- Visit the official FVWM web page at URL: http://www.fvwm.org/. I really don't know what you mean with docking applications. Hi Xavier, i found myself with a move cursor, and i have to click to place the tabber where i want. This is a symptom of the same bug you reported yesterday. Re: FVWM: FvwmTabs v2.4 : restart fvwm destroy all tabbed windows
Hi Xavier, |Looks like a good old-fashioned BUG - I will look into it soon. I tracked this down to a bug in FVWM perllib last night. I sent a patch to Mikhael, hopefully it will get applied soon. Is there a kick fix i could use to release all windows on all tabbers before fvwmtabs die ? The 'ReleaseAll' menu-item (or associated key-binding, Ctrl-Alt-Shift-R I think). Alternatively you can apply the patch I sent to the fvwm-workers list yourself. SCoTT. :) -- Visit the official FVWM web page at URL: http://www.fvwm.org/. It would be very cool if you guys put this together so that the packages were available at Manoj's area so we can get them through APT directly instead of downloading them and installing them with dpkg -i. I would be happy if people took my patches. You are welcome to send patches that improve the deb package we provide. However if you speak about hooks and other ancient things, I see them as a clear deterioration. This will not be applied. The configuration in your patch are so ancient (from 5-7 years ago?) that it makes no sence to start to fix it. It should be dropped. We already provide 2 sets of configurations for a user without any fvwm2rc. Maintaining more configurations that are also distribution specific is meaningless. We also don't add any distribution specific legacy things to our rpms. The binary packages from developers are clean and include only the things installed on a regular make install. With addition of all mandatory stuff to pass the package requirements and minor usability things. Regards, Mikhael. -- Visit the official FVWM web page at URL: http://www.fvwm.org/.
