I think opinions have been exchanged by now. So, who of the
people who promote FVWM as fvwm's name is willing to do the
following:
* Rename *all* occurences in *all* files in the fvwm and
fvwm-web repositories from fvwm or Fvwm to FVWM,
Excluding symbolic names in the source files.
I am more than happy to.
* This includes
- The name of the CVS repositories (FVWM and FVWM-web).
- The names of the mailing lists (FVWM, FVWM-workers, etc.)
- File names (fvwm.c - FVWM.c, fio.c - Fio.c,
fsm.h - Fsm.h etc.)
You're stretching the point a little far here -- you can keep the
filenames as-is.
I think you have no idea of the extend of my efforts to keep
naming consistent in the source tree.
- The names of the executables (fvwm - FVWM, make_fvwmdist.sh
Again, you can keep that as-is.
* Take the responsibility to explain to the users why this was
done and why their config files are broken.
I am happy to update the documentation to reflect s/fvwm/FVWM/g in
*context* -- nothing else needs to change.
And I'm happy if you *don't* do it just in context. I've spent
many hours to have consistent spelling all over the place.
You're angry -- so I will let some of your points go without rising to
the challenge.
I'm serous about every single pont.
