files were recovered but apparently no large files such as video
projects.
He speculated that they were fragmented beyond recognition.

options and procedures.

You're most welcome.

I don't know why other ripping tools have not also implemented this  
very helpful feature.


Possibly because some DVDs are authored with: 1) several main  
features in independent files, yet 2) some have all features within  
one file (but have separate menu files), and yet 3) some others have  
all features and all menus within one file.


The latter is the most difficult to recover from authoring defects.  
Columbia/Sony uses this format a lot.
