G3 iMac to Quadra via Ethernet
I have a G3 iMac 600 OS9.2.2 connected to a Quadra 650 7.5.5 via Ethernet. I can mount the Quadra HDD on the G3 desk top but I can't get the IMac HDD to mount on the Quadra desk top because I can't get File Sharing on the G3 to start. I've rebooted and Zapped PRAM. Make sure you give it enough time. Personal File Sharing in pre X can take a while to start up. To be sure give it an hour then check it. If it does work it shouldn't take so long the next time. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
