There's the Gbooks list which covers all G3 and G4 Powerbooks and
iBooks.

Re: Upgrade my Ge

2009-12-20 Thread Jorge Quiroz
Ok, your mac can go up to 10.4, but you'll need a retail disk (not an
specific machine disk)
you can put any standard IDE DVD ROM in your Power Mac( mine has a LG
SuperMulti DVD Burner with dual layer support), you can get a WiFi PCI
Card to connect to wifi networks, the other option is buy an WiFi USB
Adapter (i bought one last year for my blueberry ibook).

Re: Upgrade G 3

2009-12-19 Thread Jorge Quiroz
first, you need to tell us what specific Mac you have.
If you have a Beige Power Mac G3 you can go up to 10.2 "Jaguar"
and if you have a Power Mac G3 Blue and White you can go up to 10.4
"Tiger"
anyway, with the help of XPostFacto you should be able to install 10.4
in the beige G3
I would not recommend install mac os x in anything older than a beige G3

Re: B&W video problem

2009-12-18 Thread Jorge Quiroz
Try starting up with command+option+o+f, then type: mac-boot
also try to reset nvram, and reset pram, and the most important, (mine
has the same problem), push the CUDA reset button, if you don't know
where it is, see this page from Apple Support.

Hope that helps
