You can get a free trial version of DVD2OneX:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/alternative_platforms/mac_software/dvd2onex.cfm

I haven't tried it, since I've gotten used to using the free DVDshrink
on a PC, but afterdawn.com is usually pretty good for advice and
recommendations.

Good suggestion.
I've tried it and plan to purchase.
After some trial and error , some off list help
and using Mac DVDRipper Pro (MDRP)
I've got it to work.
Amazing really.
very sweet.
Thanks for the help
Cliff

Compressing DVD9

2009-10-28 Thread Cliff Rediger

I'm seeing one or two (or they may be the same)
software packages for compressing DVD9 to DVD5
for the Intel architecture, but
not finding anything for 10.4.11

I'm familiar with the standard converters
Handbrake
MacTheRipper
MPEG
and not trying MDRP (which is very speedy)
but these don't seem to offer compression features

any suggestions are appreciated.

Cliff
