A while ago I posted a question about whether or not a monitor or
radeon 7000 card would be defunct on my neighbors Sawtooth.

I've just managed to get an old 21 monitor off a G3 tower to try, but
 the plugs are different.

Is there a converter available to go from the Radeon to the monitor?

That is the exact opposite of what he needs.

That's for connecting a VGA monitor to a Mac video-out port. He needs
an adapter to connect a Mac Monitor to a VGA video-out port. Apple
made such a critter, so you could use Mac monitors on PC's and the
like, it was a switchless adapter, kind of wide on both ends and
skinny in the middle.

yesterday I couldn't find one, today, I lucked out:

G'day

Thanks Bruce, I've just ordered one sent to Oz. That adaptor is as
scarce as hens teeth here. My local Mac retailers knew what I wanted,
but didn't have any left.

Apple sold a Mac video to VGA adapter, but they're kinda hard to find.
Fleabay, LEM Swaplist.

Note you want a VGA TO Mac video to connect a Mac monitor to a VGA
output, not the more usual Mac to VGA adapter to let you run a VGA
monitor on an old PowerMac.
