Re: A G5 upgrade

If you need to, get a larger HDD. 320GB is good, but the more, the better.
RAM upgrades is always an option, since more RAM memory can make a computer
faster.

 I have a 1.8GHz G5 PowerMac. Soon i'll get a double 2.3GHz G5. Do you see

The switch should work just fine, shouldn't it?

Unless the drive in the 1.8GHz is larger then I would just use Migration
Assistant to move the 1.8 to the Dual 2.3 machine. But a drive swap is simple
to do and will work.

Yeah, my first inclination was to do a migration assist. Maybe I'll do
that with the primary drive, and swap the secondary drive.

It's a good way to do it if you swap out the secondary drive to start with
because you'll have an easier time customizing you new Dual 2.3 without the
need of the 1.8 connected.
