[Gambas-user] Gambas 3.9.1
First of all I have to say I am very happy that Gambas updates through dnf. But: Why is it that arrays are changed. I had to go through all my software .count en .sort don't seem to work anymore and produce an error! Further I placed in a childform a form with parent the mainform. Suddenly It is not controlable anymore. It appears over all forms on the screen and I cannot set visible to false. I HAVE to say that I am very enthousiastic about Gambas and I am using it for nearly ten years now. But these changes in the software make me very, very sad. Sorry I'm not familiar with XCode. In the end I want to run the software on more than one osx machine. So without much hassle on every machine. [Gambas-user] Mime component to decode popmessage
Hi All, Today I started working with the pop3 component. To display the message in (e.g) a webbrowser I have to decode the pop3 message. In the sample this has not been worked out. The whole printing procedure works fine except for the 'strange' characters like é ë etc. As a base I used the printing sample of Gambas3. Now I'm printing to PDF by providing a filename. When I print invoices I print the lines with a function which calculates where it has to print on the page: Public Sub PrintAt(Row As Float, Col As Integer, Txt As String) txtWidth = Draw.Font.TextWidth(txt) txtHeight = Draw.Font.TextHeight(txt) PosY = Row * 162 posX = Col * 55 + 50 Paint.DrawRichText(Txt, PosX, PosY, txtWidth, txtHeight) End Now I want to skip to the next page when variable Row exceeds a value. But somehow I cannot find how I can skip to the next page. So what I am realy looking for is the addpage function which was available in gambas 2. Whe I fiddled arount in my code by telling there were 2 pages, the content on page 2 was nog cleared, e.g. it was the same as on page 1. Any ideas? [Gambas-user] File in clipboard
Hi All, I would like to copy a file to the clipboard. So not only text. When I browse to a file in the filesystem (Dolphin) and do a copy and after that I do clipboard.paste I get the filename with file:/// But when I do a clipboard.copy file:/// with the filename. The Os only gets this as a string and not the filename. Anybody? Thanks. Hi everyone, Has anybody a sample source of a component which holds a form? I'm trying for two weeks now and I simply don't succeed. What I want to do is have form that I can embed in another form (within a tab). I could use a workspace but people can delete the tab then. Hopefully someone has a sample. Thanks. Hi All, I'd like to send a parameter to a form which is a child of a workspace. I simply can't find the solution. E.g. I would like to call a sub with a parm in the form. Or like sending the name of a file which should be opened in a form within the workspace, like gambas ide. Hi All, At last I moved on to gambas 3. But I'm running in some kind of problem. In gambas2 I used a function to let all the children now Edit is true or false. In the hosting form I do: for each object in workspace.children try object.MayEdit(True)' or false of course next and for each object in workspace.children try object.RelationNumber = RelationString next But no matter what I try I simply cannet use this anymore. Children maybe worked in Gambas 2, but never the documentation told you that you will get necessarily the windows you embedded in the Workspace that way. I tried that but it isn't the solution. In the past I tried combining gambas2 and gambas3 on fedora 18. I had the same situation then but I blamed it on the combination of g2 and g3. Hi Fabien, Uptil the .update it works. I get the record, I can read the data and after setting the field it contains the new data. Strangest thing is that there is no error.
