Re: [Audyssey] Sryth The Age of Igtheon

2006-10-18 Thread Bryan
You have to equip the weapon in the Items menu, just as you would any other
weapon. As to where you get Adventurer Tokens, they're only available either
from Proving Grounds contests, one of which just ended recently, from the
occasional Adventurer's Guild rewards the GM gives from time to time, or
from the Little Matter about an Orb quest in Hawklor, which can be accessed
after completing the Caves of Westwold. You'll meet a guy on your way into
the Stoneback Tavern who'll offer you an advance paymet of Adventurer Tokens
for your services. Then if you click Adventures for this Location, there'll
be a new adventure. But I wouldn't attempt that one until you have a fairly
high melee rating, in the sixties at least. The enemies, which all seem to
be insects of one kind or another, can be quite tough. And don't try the
Giants adventures until you're fairly srong either. They're nothing to fool
around with.

All you need to do to use the weapon is equip it. Click the equip link above
the weapon's name, and you'll be good to go. As for adventurer tokens, you
can get them currently as part of one quest, and during the monthly proving
grounds cinarios put up by the GM.

[Audyssey] Moderator reminder was Question

2006-10-18 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi all,
Just a friendly reminder to give your posts a better subject line. A
very generic subject such as question, hello, etc is likely to be
ignored by most listers that are looking for something specific.
For example, let's say you are asking a question about Shades of Doom
and give a subject called question. Most listers will most often pass up
and delete the message because they don't have a good idea of what the
post contains, and if they are like me with lots of email never even
read it. However, if you say Shades of Doom Question then I am likely to
stop and read it, send a reply, as I am a fan of that game, and know it
quite well.

I think ask richard from audio games if I can send it to him and then he
can upload it on his site.
Or he should give me a place where I can upload it, because my e-mail
program takes extremely long to send large a ttachments. so ask richard for
a place where I can upload it to, then you can downloadit on his site.

Re: [Audyssey] Sryth The Age of Igtheon

2006-10-18 Thread Brandon Cole
I suggest you get yourself a shield. You can get a pretty decent one for 20
tokens. Or, if you're set on getting a weapon, get the runed short sword.
It's decent, and it has a special attack. Only get it though if it's better
than what you're using.

Re: [Audyssey] Accessible online poker?

2006-10-18 Thread Christian
Hi Simon,
I have tried several poker sites, some of them works better than the other. I
have also contacted them but with no interest from them. Some of them are
actually showing the cards as text but you cant take a seat at the table since
you have to click on a graphic. I have tried clicking all graphics but with no
luck. Some of them offers keyboard shortcuts for folding, raising and calling.
Maybe some pokersite could be accessible with some scripts or simular. I'd
really like to try them out since you have thousands of players there.
All the best,
Christian

which brings me to 2 points, 1 why do all in play charge a subscription
 fee
for there game when you don't win nothing? in the way of real cash that
 is!
 2. why jim kitchen doesn't put his poker program in to slot machines all
over the world, and the rest of his casino games, so blind peeps can
 gamble
in public, he would make an absolute mint.

Re: [Audyssey] playability of Playstation 2 games?

2006-10-18 Thread Brandon Cole
Yes, there are several PS2 games that are indeed playable. You may want to
check out the gameplay demonstrations I have of Mortal Kombat Deception and
Armageddon, as both of those games are very playable. Most fighting games
and sports games can be played by the blind, and there are even a few
outside those two genres that are accessible. I definitely recommend a PS2,
or perhaps, just perhaps, a PS3. Heheh.

 hi all.

I am curious if anyone has found any of the playstation 2 games even
remotely playable. I may have access to a machine and want to know if
it is even worth my bother to try using it. if it's a waste of time and
effort I'd rather just pass it up.

 Thanks for any info.

 Hi Simon,
I have tried several poker sites, some of them works better than the
other. I have also contacted them but with no interest from them. Some of
them are actually showing the cards as text but you cant take a seat at
the table since you have to click on a graphic. I have tried clicking all
graphics but with no luck. Some of them offers keyboard shortcuts for
folding, raising and calling. Maybe some pokersite could be accessible
with some scripts or simular. I'd really like to try them out since you
 have thousands of players there.
 All the best,
 Christian

NO, I mean where can I upload it too? I explained to you that my
e-mail program takes extremely long to send attachments. It will go
quicker if I can upload the file, maybe using ftp explorer, to a server
where you can download it.
Where can I find a free ftp client and where can I upload the file to?

So please send me the game and I'll upload it.

Re: [Audyssey] playability of Playstation 2 games?

2006-10-18 Thread Thomas Ward
Hello Brandon,
Technically, there is a difference between playable and accessible. Yes,
I am not disagreeing a few PS2 games are playable, but most are
inaccessible and have serious accessibility issues. For example, the
menus are not accessible, and only are if you have them memorised. It's
not like our accessible games where the menu item or prompt is spoken.
Most PS2 games have several different sound effects which give us vital
hints and clues as to what has happened or is going on, but that is only
good if you are aware of what that sound means in the scheme of things.
Just some thoughts.
