Re: [Audyssey] Hogwarts locations in Phoenix game and Sarah

2007-11-21 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Phil,
Hmmm... Thanks for posting the Hogwarts castle map from EA's latest
game. That is kind of interesting.
I don't blame you for not wanting to make the changes in Sarah. Sounds
like a bit of major restructuring to make the games match as far as
locations goes.

I've tried pressing o, I hear a voice saying nuts detector on/off, but I
don't hear any sound that a nut is a distance away from me, all I hear while
the nuts detector is on, is sarah automatically pressing the d key the
whole time saying what is in front of her sometimes just saying the word in
as if I would press d if there is no ghost.
I don't hope anybody thinks my suggestions is ridiculous, but I feel sarah
should have a nuts detector like pack man's dot detector making a sound to
let you know where the remaining nuts are.
I'm just the kind of gamer who enjoys it to pick up nuts.

[Audyssey] Judgement Day reg code

2007-11-21 Thread CB
Hi all,

I purchased a copy of Judgment Day on 11/17/07 and still have not received
my reg code. I have emailed Liam with no response. I am just wondering if
anyone knows if liam is out of town or something. I am getting a bit
nervous since I paid my money and have not heard anything.

Thanks,

Re: [Audyssey] hogwarts in the new scw patch

2007-11-21 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Nicol,

Quote
The only changes to the castle I noticed in the seventh book, the hour
glasses spilled their rubies on the ground...
End quote

I think what Phil was talking about is structural changes in the castle
and descriptions of various rooms based on book seven. Keep in mind that
the hour glasses were broken under special circumstances, and would have
happened after the game of Sarah. Sarah time wise happens between Order
of the Phoenix and the Half Blood Prince.

Quote
 and the gargoyles guarding secret
passages stepped aside so that harry and his friends could enter without
any password.
End quote

Again this is a special case. The exception to the rule. Considering
there was a battle going on, Hogwarts was under attack, etc there was no
time to use passwords and other security measures. Especially, since
Harry was a former student of the school and well known to be on their
side.. Why would they block him during a battle?
My point being while they might step aside for Harry under those special
circumstances they wouldn't do it to a total stranger like Sarah who
after all was up to no good, and had broken into the castle while just
about everyone was away.

Re: [Audyssey] the death day party in scw

2007-11-21 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Phil,
Oh, yeah. Those

darned blasted poetic licenses. Don't we always get the blame for using those?
Smile
Anyway,I think my Tomb Raider game will have my own
poetic licenses on it as not to be exactly like the Edos games, but I am sure
some purest will complain I didn't copy one of the 8 games down to the finest
detail.

Phil Vlasak wrote:
 Hi Nicol,
Sometimes I take poetic license and change a few things so Hogwarts in the
Sarah game is not exactly like Hogwarts in the books.
For example if I gave you unlimited spell casting power like Harry has, the
 game would be too easy.
I did get the descriptions of the deathday food from the book, it was right
after when they were entering the room.
Harry and his friends did not try to take or eat any food so you would not
know from the books what the ghosts would do if they took some.
I made the food go back to the party because I thought the ghosts would want
 their food there.
And either the elves who set up the food or Peeves could have taken it from
 Sarah.

 Hi Lisa,
Here is just a few trouble shooting tips you can try.

 1. Make sure dx8vb.dll is in your
 c:\windows\system32
directory. If not you will have to grab a copy off of someone who has
one, or install it via something like Jim Kitchen's winkit program.
 2. Restart the system after doing a game install. Sometimes some games
are picky under Vista, and the system needs to be restarted before they
 will run.
 3. If 2 fails attempt to launch the application as administrator. Some
games like Troopenum by BSC require this to run properly on some accounts.
To run the application as administrator go to the applications icon in
the start menu, press the context menu key, arrow to run as
administrator, and press enter. Then, the application will be launched
 using administrator rights.
 Hth.

Re: [Audyssey] the nuts detector in sarah

2007-11-21 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Nicol,
I did want to have a nuts detector in the Sarah game but I could not get it
to work correctly.
The way it works is you hit o once and it says nut detector on.
Then when you walk around it will tell you how far the nuts are.
You hit o again to turn it off.
I think you got confused by my earlier explanation.
I do not think this feature is important enough to spend weeks on getting to
work right.

2007-11-21 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
In all the time I have known of Liam I have never known of him as being
dishonest or out to take your money without eventually processing your
order.
Since this week is our national Thanks Giving week it is possible he is
out of town visiting friends/family etc... I'd say wait until the
holidays die down and then put in a second request next week.
Cheers.
