[Audyssey] super deekout new score
Hi, On normal difficulty so far I managed to get 76 some points. I want to try for the 200 points because once I reach that, then I will have my own cheats file. I have to have something to accomplish, right? Re: [Audyssey] trupenam2 question
well its a good game. I actually recomend that to. However I am not sure if this deal is still on but I have the arcade pack 1, which has everything basically. pip 1 and 2, troop 1 and 2 and hunter. Also all the freebees. My only regrets I have on actual packs was that I never got the esp pack because I had to buy scifi disks and well I had no cash. Game packs are good. Re: [Audyssey] trupenam2 question
hint! Hint! Hint! Try to keep it in the middle rather than allowing it to drift. If it does drift, tap the appropriate arrow key once or twice. The ship will move in that direction. Keep in mind that it is still falling. The faster you continually tap the up arrow key, the slower it falls, building your point total. HTH --- Laughter is the best medicine. [Audyssey] trupenam2 question
Hi all I strongly consider buying trupenam. It sounds like a great game. I have difficulty understanding how the landing platform bonus round works. I've read the manual several times but still I don't understand it. If I understand correctly the manual says, you must tap up arrow continuously and rapidly to ensure a slow fall and you must tap left and right arrow to stay in the middle. I'm doing it but still I crash onto the platform. I can hear my ship going off to the left and right and then I get it back to the middle and I tap up arrow continuously as soon as I hear my ship is in the middle again but I never manage to land the ship successfully. Can anyone plese give me some more advice how to land my ship? --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. [Audyssey] mud splat impressions
I seriously wish the developers of mud splat could give attention to some serious bugs in the game. First of all compliments to the woman who did the voiceovers, her voice is very clear and the help inside the game is very explanatory. I just feel her voice is too slow when speaking the score upon pressing the right control key. I'll get to the reason for that in just a bit. I like the randomness of special items in the game, I just wish to hear how much bonus points I'm getting once I splash water on a bonus object that gives me bonus points. I also wish to hear how many bonus points I get each time I splash water on an object in the bonus levels. Instead of saying the total amount of bonus level points gained thus far I wish to hear the number of bonus points collected for the current bonus level instead. IN games such as pipe2 and trupenum I can hear how much bonus points I'm getting, I wish it could be the same in mud splat. currently for me to hear in mud splat how many bonus points I'm getting when splashing water on a bonus object in monster levels, there is only one tricky way,. when I hear the bouncing of a bonus item, I have to press right control and listen to my score, then collect the item and if it is extra points, then listen to the score again. And if i press space to splash water the voice speaking the score is silenced immediately. that's why I feel the voice should be faster, because by the time I have listened to my score and figure out how many points the bonus object gave me, a monster throws mud at me and then sometimes I get killed because I forget to move away, I concentrate too hard on figuring out how many bonus points the item gave me. that's why it would be so nice if the woman could speak the bonus points gained each time I splash water on a bonus object that gives me bonus points. now to get to the nasty bugs. sometimes it happens that no monsters appears after a while. It happens in the toy story levels, mainly level3. after defeating a few monsters, the background sound just keeps on playing forever without any monsters appearing. I've tested it, I've played all question sets installed of freedom millionaire and then returning to mud splat there was still no monsters and the background sounds keeps playing. Sometimes when this happens I'm able to go out of the game with escape and load the last session again, but sometimes pressing escape does nothing. then I have to close the game with task manager. It sometimes happens that at the end of a game, when I'm in the list of high scores, pressing up or down arrow causes the game to quit completely instead of going to the next or previous score. the next thing is not really a bug as such, its just my way of playing the game. I wish to collect all bonus items, I don't want to loose out on any bonus item. sometimes it happens that when I'm about to splash water on the last monster for that level a bonus item appears and so it happens sometimes that as I press space to splash water on a monster I hear the bouncing sound of the bonus item and so I defeat the last monster and loose that item. That's why the time bonus is not such a big thing for me. If I try to beat the level as fast as i can to gain a bigger time bonus, I will loose out on bonus items. That's why i wait a few more seconds before splashing water on a monster, to make sure i don't miss out on any bonus item. a question concerning the score multiplier bonus objects. Will it always multiply scores by 2? or will it multiply scores by figures bigger than 2? its again one of those things, for me to find it out currently I have to listen to my score twice, and because the voice is so slow I end up being thrown with mud. I sincerely hope someone could forward my message to the developers of mud splat. thank you --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. [Audyssey] story line for a game
Hi all Here is a story line for a game idea if anyone thinks of developing a new game. this game idea came about when I heard I must go for a brain r m i scan. I'm diagnosed with epelepsy. I'm always very scared of loud noises and the doctor told me this scanning machine is noisy, like a disco. so I panted a lot, but once inside the machine, once it started to scan the noise didn't scare me. the sidation I was given didn't work while I was in the machine. It only came into effect when I was out of the machine back in the ward, then only I felt sleepy. but here's the game idea. Your task is to blow up brain scanning machines. you'll have to be careful. You'll have to listen closely for the sound of the brain scanning machines amongst those of heart machines and components of marilyn manson's science project. If you blow up a heart machine or a piece of marilyn's science project instead you loose large chunks of points. If your score reaches 0 the game is over. you are either strapped onto a bed and examined by a heart machine and told the results of your heart and you will hear the song: shape of my heart, or you will be killed by a component of marilyn manson's science project, it will detinate a bomb. If you are not succesfull in blowing up a brain scan machine in time the brain scanning machine will automatically strap you to a bed, take a brain scan of you and give you the results of what your brain looks like and the game is over. the heart machines is easy to distinguish but parts of marilyn manson's science project will sound very similar to r m i scan machines especially the last sequence of a r m i scan. You'll have to blow up cat scan machines as well as r m i scan machines. the cat scan machines will make the sound of a washing machine and then the sound of a banjo but watch out, marilyn manson's science project will make similar sounds to confuse you, but you will be able to distinguish the machines if you listen carefully. Happy blowing up of brain scanning machines! --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. [Audyssey] super deekout impressions
Hi all ON the one hand it is sad that dan is leaving the gaming community but on the other hand its kind of him to make his games available for free. Here is some impressions that might be helpfull to damion if he decides to work on super deekout. spoiler space Its very easy to actually cheet in the game and it spoils everything. At the start of level1 if you press s you get an amount of oil slicks and it also sometimes happens that more than one special item is available to pick up. the oil slicks is only suppose to show up once you have picked up the experiment pieces in the descending order. and only one special item is suppose to show up for each 3 coins you pick up. It happened that the moment i pressed s at the start of level1 there was 3 special items beeping to pick up. the keystrokes that activates cheet codes should not have such easy keystrokes. People are only suppose to be able to cheet if they got a score of 2 million on normal. I'm only playing on easy. I only got as far as level6. Btw i wonder if the game has a number of levels like trupenum and pipe or does it have unlimited levels like light cars. the reason why i pressed s: i just wanted to hear what sound the game will play if there is no special item of a kind. super deekout should have a practice mode where you can practice picking up coins. pipe2 have a practice mode where you fit pipes without enemies. It took me much time to get used to the concept of picking up coins and enemies makes it difficult to practice picking up coins. Once I have a bit of practice in picking up coins without the thread of enemies I will be more ready for the robot. Sometimes i battle to hear when a coin is centered. I'm very greatful that dan has made super deakout available for free. this is just suggestions in case damion decide to work on it. I just thought my impressions will help him. for starters, it would mean a lot if damion can set up a score server for us to post our scores even if it means that we pay him a fee to be able to post scores because we can only post to the dan z server until june when the site is closing down. Is there anyone else who would be able to set up a score server? since damion plans to work on super deakout he need to be the one who set up a score server because the game is programmed to post scores to dan z games' server currently so to post to a diferent server would mean that that part should be adjusted in the source code. I doubt if its possible to post to another score server without instructing the game in the source code what the server is. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. Hi I'm not sure where that would have came from; since I haven't experienced it. How long has the game been installed? Try re-installing it. That might fix the issuee. I usually try troubleshooting in the following ways: 1. Restart my computer. 2. If the problem persists, uninstal the game. 3. restart the pc again. 4. Re-instal the game. 5. Restart the PC, once again. restart is your best friend, its saved me many times. Have a good day from Tyler C. Re: [Audyssey] object oriented programming (and vb6)
OO programming is simply a better way to program. It has a large learning curve but it's worth it. After learning it (which was a big headache coming from a procedural programming background) I can never go back. Given the choice, I will always choose a OO language over procedural. To me, procedural programming is antiquated. No news, no new products, no contact anywhere? No promotion. The only exception would be if you make the effort to contact them, letting them know why, and they respond. Re: [Audyssey] Is It Worth Promoting Bavisoft on My Ne xt Podcast?
It's really quite depressing in a way, since while I wasn't all that impressed with the replay value of Grizzly or Chillingham, I did still like both games enough to buy them. I guess I was one of those lucky enough to order both before all this stuff started happening. But as i say it's really quite depressing s ince I was actually looking forward to seeing what, if anything, they would have come up with after the Chillingham games. Now though it doesn't even seem as though we'll be getting the rest of that particular story.
