2008-05-10 Thread mark bishop
Hi all
First of all, where do I get this game from?
Secondly, I don't knw if anyone has come up with this yet, but the
association between john and the toilet is that some countries refer to the
toilet as the John.
Many thanks

 HI all
I enjoy chane link a lot. there is a word association I can't snap.
The 7 words in the chane are creation, genesis, bible, gospel, john,
 toilet
 and cleaner.
The association toilet and cleaner still makes sense, a person cleaning
 a
toilet, but how do you associate john with a toilet? That doesn't make
 sense.

Re: [Audyssey] Psp project in the works.

2008-05-10 Thread Chrissy
hi all,
the reason that we will never have full access to mainstream games is that
nobody cares enough to pump any money into it.
we are not enough as a group, there are too few blind people around that are
gamers.

there are more old people who turn blind than say younger ones who lose
their sight later in life or people who never had vision.
if you make a game accessible it will probably lose lots of appeal to
sighted gamers maybe because certain features will not be able to be
included. so the sighted gamers is where the target market is, and that is
what the companies cater to. they want their money and can basically do
without the off few thousands they would get from the few blind users, they
could win over.

same goes for screenreader software. as you cannot simply convert a reader
that is already out there unto a console, one would have to be developed for
it. who would want to spend the time and money on something that is bound to
alwys cost more than earn money?
the market is simply too small to be bothered. sad but true.

it makes me so sad and mad also. before i lost the rest of my vision i was
such an avid gamer. i played every console since pong way back in the 70s.
gaming is one of my hobbies if not the main hobby. now i still enjoy lots of
audiogames and thankful and appreciate every effort thatanyone makes to
entertain us thru this medium. but it is not quite the same, we are a
minority and as always with minorities, well not the most important people
in the world.
one cannot 'demand' accesibilty in games by law, that will not work.

sorry for this being so long but just thought I'd throwmy 2 cents in.
have a great day everyone!
chrissy

Hi Mark,
Until I get my DanZ Games mirror page put together you can get Chainlink
and the patch from
http://www.usagames.us/downloads/games/dan-z-games/CL-Patch.exe
http://www.usagames.us/downloads/games/dan-z-games/CL-Setup.exe
Hopefully my accessible games directory of downloads and mirrors will go
live today, but all depends on time.

Hi.
I can get lifted off the ground, but the sound of air whooshing over my jet
is too loud so I can't hear anything else, can't understand the voice, etc.
I'm pretty deaf, so that doesn't help any. I need to read the documentation
again because honestly I have no clue what to do after I get my butt off the
ground and up high enough so that beeper quits. I got a good hard laugh out
of the curses that occur each time I crash, cackle. I found out by accident
that f1 and f2 can be used to change music volume. I don't remember reading
that in the documentation. That helped though, I turned it all the way down
and was able to hear more important thins afterwards. I often just edit the
sounds in games so that I can hear what I need to hear better, but I can't
do that to this one *grins*

Yeah. Not that I've played it, but people say the burnout legends is just
like burnout 3. I had great fun blasting cars away on legends and, if need
be, I can rent it and get a friend to tell me the menu structure, and help
you out with it. Oh, and darkstalker chronicles would probably be worth
checking out, as well as street fighter. Not to mention some sports games
I'd imagine- but I'm not a big fan of that, so I can't help there.

Re: [Audyssey] 3d load

2008-05-10 Thread Dakotah Rickard
Hey. Make sure you hit the home key. That levels you. The loud jets
don't turn off until you do that...kind of funny. One thing I do is
Hit page down to get a little altitude, level off to turn off the loud
jet sound, then resume ascending by page down again. Try it.

I have recordings though of a actual pilot cabin and it is quite loud as it

I'm pretty deaf, so that doesn't help any. I need to read the documentation
again because honestly I have no clue what to do after I get my butt off

that f1 and f2 can be used to change music volume. I don't remember reading
that in the documentation. That helped though, I turned it all the way down
and was able to hear more important thins afterwards. I often just edit the
sounds in games so that I can hear what I need to hear better, but I can't
do that to this one *grins*

keep the up arrow and pagedown key held until the beeps quit. than
hit home key, and the jet noise will lay off, and then you can go
after your target.

[Audyssey] SDM 3D Public Beta 1 Pre-Release

2008-05-10 Thread Ryan Smith
Hi Audyssey,
We have released our 3D Beta 1 Pre-Release, meaning a release that is
for the public to download and comment on, and does not get listed as
a product yet, but will appear on the news section of our site. There
are alot of things in there, explained in the short readme. I would
like to say that, when you extract the zip file, there is a readme.txt
and a 3D folder. So the readme is NOT in the 3D folder. I am
interested to see what you think of it. I've added alot to the regular
SDM game, including random, every 1/15, is randomly chosen to go to
opposite mode. I've also added you a partner, who is clumsy and gets
into the line of fire. Don't shoot! This is the regular SDM game, and
not the 3D game. Once this gets all comments in, I will work out the
minor details of the side scroller/3D and put that all into the 3D
game.
You can get it at our website: www.rsgames.co.nr
It's on the homepage. Just scroll down to where it says what's new,
read, and be tortured, I mean enjoy the game Smile
Thanks!

2008-05-10 Thread Ron Schamerhorn
Hey all

I've given it a try but don't seem to be able to kill a guard with the
space bar. Also I'd say a different step sound for the forest, assuming
it's a normal type that is. Maybe I need to try around some more. Initial
thoughts only!

Hi Ryan,
I just downloaded 3D Pre-Release Beta 1 from your home page.
I have not tried it yet but have a grammatical suggestion.
A beta version is always a Pre-Release.
I will try it tomorrow and add it to my games list.

2008-05-10 Thread shaun everiss
When pushing f1 while in a house I don't hear any answer to the
question being asked.
it would also be good if I could know what was round me by some sort
of look function.
if I get an item instead of hearing a beep get a description, ie
dead human, body, health pack.
when I have killed a guard, I should automatically search the guard
and get his items.
there needs to be an inventory list and a way to access it, ie the
letters and messages I get during gameplay.
also sounds of items being picked up.
