Re: [Audyssey] Interactive Fiction archive site

2012-11-08 Thread Ibrahim Gucukoglu

Hi Keith.

As Thomas said, you cant run the Mac or commodore games using a screen
reader even though there were some fantastic games written for these
platforms. All other interpreters can be found within the archive, Agility
for Windows will play AGT games, the Hugo runtime can be downloaded from the
hugo folder under programming. You will also want to check out the TADS
interpreter as well as Filfre, the latter lets you play ZCode games such as
those produced by Infocom and its accessible with screen readers.

All the best, Ibrahim.

If you've got interpreters, or know where to get the following interpreters,
I'd greatly appreciate it:

Adrift, AGT, Hugo, Commodore, MAC, Basic, Atari 800, spectrum

Thanks

Hi Keith.

You can play most all types of games on the PC these days, even those
written in the massively old and out-dated AGT system as there is an
interpreter for Windows. So long as there is an interpreter for your
chosen operating system then you shouldn't have any problems. I
personally play games written using TADS, Hugo, ZCode and a few using AGT
so let me know what games you had it in mind to play and I'll see what can
be done about getting them to work under Windows for you.

Re: [Audyssey] Having some trouble with Monkey Business

2012-11-08 Thread Ibrahim Gucukoglu

HI Darren.

Ah, you're playing one of the best accessible adventure games ever made for
the audio gamer, a real classic. OK, when you're on the bridge, side step
to the left a couple of times and run across, that way you wont fall through
the bridge to your doom. You'll be facing worse before the level is over,
but that's for you to find out *smile*. As for the switches in the boss
level, each switch is numbered and you need to go round the four walls of
the doctor's hideout to enable each one. Listen carefully to the numbers
which are heavily robotic.

[Audyssey] swamp recording is back on, I'd like to recruit a team

2012-11-08 Thread john

Hi all,
It looks like I'm going to be able to do the recording this
weekend after all. Due to the fact that I'm planning to do at
least 10 cans or so worth of missions, I'd like to recruit a team
of people that will be able to stay on swamp for the duration of
the recording, and come on the majority of the missions. I'm not
certain how long this is going to go, but if you can be online
from four to seven pm eastern standard on Saturday, and want to
help out with this, please let me know. I'm looking for a minimum
of three people, though if I need to just get people from the
game as I go I can do that (though for recording purposes I'd
prefer not to). If you want to be part of the team, I'm going to
ask that you be at least relatively comfortable with each of the
warehouse maps (especially the processing one), and be able to
hold your own in a fight. I'd also ask that you be able to take
out zombies without resorting to overly loud weapons. I'm
planning an lms and sniper as well, so being familiar with those
maps won't hurt.

Thanks,
John.
