First of all, I'm not sure, but I thought those keystrokes were
documented. Second, the player footsetp volume doesn't have anything
to do with your footsteps. It's the footsteps of other players around
you in multiplayer. The setting that affects your volume is, actually,
your footsteps. third, you raise them by pressing ... I think... g h
and j. You lower them by pressing shift plus g, h, and j.

Finally, the configuration file shouldn't have anything at all to do
with missions, unless you change your character's name, which would
 affect everything. Not just missions.

Re: [Audyssey] huge Swamp bug.

2013-02-20 Thread Richard Sherman
HI,

Aprone would be the firsts one to apologize for the readme file for not
being up to date. Instead of updating it all the time, he put notes in the
change log text file. In there will be notes on when he added those keys in.
Give it a good read. Some interesting items in there you might not know.

As far as configuration files. The progress.ini file file includes such info
as your name and password, what screen reader you have it set to, and
whether you agreed to the user agreement. This file should not be modified.
If you try you may break the game, or worse get caught for cheating and
therefore get banned. Not a good thing.

the keyconfig.ini file is what keeps track of what key does what. Open it in
notepad and give it a look. There you can change any key to another, but
never change the order of the items in the list. Otherwise it won't work
properly.

As already mentioned, there are 3 keys for footsteps. One for yours, one for
other players, and one for zombies. Simon said he has his set to 140%. I
suggest you do not do that because then you will think they are closer than
they are and you will waste ammo . I only increase zombie footsteps for
shooting at them long range, and then put it back to 100%. The higher the
percentage the louder it should be. Press shift and the same key to lower
it. Just a suggestion.

I have a really nice modified keyconfig.ini file if anyone wants it.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13968355/keyconfig.zip

The file is really not zipped. just remove the zip off the end and put in
.ini instead.

What is nice about it is I have moved all beacons to the F keys. And most
others do not require the shift or control key

If you need help, look me up in the game. Always glad to help. You can also
drop me a line if you need help.

Also there is the audio games thread on swamp:

http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?id=6341p=277

This is the last page of the thread. You can get help there or follow what
is going on.

Later tater.
