First of all, I'm not sure, but I thought those keystrokes were
documented. Second, the player footsetp volume doesn't have anything
to do with your footsteps. It's the footsteps of other players around
you in multiplayer. The setting that affects your volume is, actually,
your footsteps. third, you raise them by pressing ... I think... g h
and j. You lower them by pressing shift plus g, h, and j.
Finally, the configuration file shouldn't have anything at all to do
with missions, unless you change your character's name, which would
affect everything. Not just missions.

Hello,
First I'd like to point out that I'm a totally new player as of today. SO
perhaps this bug has been mentioned previously. Basically I found some
keys
not mentioned in the documentation. They allow you to raise and lower
player
footstep volume, as well as zombies volume level. The problem is when I
try
messing around with player footstep volume, all movement sound is
completely
stopped. In fact, I'm not even sure if I'm moving. Has anyone experienced
this? I haven't played multiplayer btw, only default offline map. Only
way
to fix this issue appears to be to remove my config file, which won't be
fun
once I get into missions. lol.
