Hello Kenny,

You should install the Kitchen's Inc games to c:\Program Files
(x86)\Kitchensinc. If you accidently installed them to c:\Program
Files\Kitchensinc move them to c:\Program Files (x86)\Kitchensinc.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Fwd: Release of six new blind gamers games

2013-10-16 Thread dark

Nope Darren, these are actually new, albeit they use similar concepts.

While I understand your frustration about blindy card games as you put it,
at the same time, don't forget some people who make that sort of thing put a
lot of time and effort into the design, and Ian humphries is one of them.

Yes, we need more complex games, but equally that doesn't mean a traditional
game can't be well designed either, or less fun, indeed I find myself quite
often starting up bg cribbage, hearts or whist when I'm on the train.

Such things do have a place, especially when they're well put together as
Ian's usually are.

Well it seems to me that every time there's a new game it's either a card
game, a space invaders game and every time it's always made to look like a
new and wonderful thing.

My point is that yes whilst there are loads of fps type games out there on
the mainstream market or space sims which I prefer, the likes of elite and
the x series, they are significantly different from each other so you can
enjoy both games in their own right. when it comes to card games, hearts is
hearts, blackjack is blackjack. There's very little you can do to
individualise each blackjack game you bring out. my point being that there's
very little individuality when it comes to blind friendly games. With the
acception of people like jeramy, david greenwood and Jason Alan. Speaking of
which what's happening with entombed these days I haven't heard of anything
new with it.

2013-10-16 Thread dark

Hi Darren.

While I do agree there are far too many versions of hearts and blackjack, at
the same time these particular spoonbill games are all new ones not seen
before. Though they bare similarities to other games, such as solitare or
boggle, the actual rules are different.

As regards new and different games though, well again, if you look at the
scope of what's been bought out your statement about another space
invaders game doesn't really go.

Yes, i fully agree we need more complex games, but at the same time there
are more developers in the world, and more new developers than just those
you mention.

Re: [Audyssey] Fwd: Release of six new blind gamers games

2013-10-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Darren,

I of all people am aware of how our community is filled with card and
Space Invader type games, but I do think you are being a bit unfair to
Ian. These are all new games in the word game and card game genres,
and if you looked at the descriptions on the Spoonbill web site you'd
see they are unique compared to other games available for the blind.
Let's not jump to conclusions about them being clones of other games
etc until we have evidence backing up a statement like that. :D

Cheers!

yeah spoonbill
only seem to release various word and card games.

At 01:36 AM 10/17/2013, you wrote:

Sighted folks have lots of different versions of the same card game, so why
should we be any different?

Hi all.

bellow are new games from spoonbil software.

Hi,
You are receiving this email because you have previously ordered a
blind accessible game from Spoonbill Software. This is to announce
the release of six new games in the Blind Gamers series. There are
three new word games and three new solitaire card games. The names
of the games are as follows:

B G Word Builder
B G Word Jumble
B G Word Solitaire
B G Aces Up Solitaire
B G Elevens Solitaire
B G TriPeaks Solitaire

You can browse descriptions of these new games at:

www.spoonbillsoftware.com.au/news.htm

and follow the appropriate links from there.

If you would like a copy of any of these games, just send an email
to Ian Humphreys at ga...@spoonbillsoftware.com.au with a list of
the games you require. Please don't forget to mention your full name
and country, as this will ensure that I can uniquely locate you in
my data base.

If you do not want to receive further emails when new games or when
upgrades for existing games are released, please let me know and I
will remove you from my mailing list.

Regards
Ian Humphreys
