[Audyssey] Anyone playing Puppet nightmares?
I realized the other day that I wasn't playing a browser game regularly and that none of the new ones I found kept my interest precisely, so I've gone back to give this one another try. There have been some recent layout changes in the game which, while not actually necessary for access do make life easier. For example now all the items have lnks on where tofind them and what they can be used for rather than having to traul the long item lists, Equipment now his categories for shops and again a much easier display also soul puppet stats have a much nicer display system too. Probably the biggest change I've noticed is that now all the top menues are hidden by default meaning you no longer have a huge sprawling page to navigate through, (particularly now that most of the item lists are gone and you just have linked pages instead). Oh, and battle is much quicker too sinse your creatures no longer do nothing if not given an action, they default to a standard attack, meaning that you can just hit the execute button while grinding. There are more important game changes of course, like now you can play after episode 5 and encounter more enemies, dungeons are also smaller meaning less grinding and more fun bos fights, but in a way it's the layout changes I like sinse they just make what was initially quite a complex game to navigate all the easier. So, if you fancy having a try at an evil and twisted version of pokemon, go and http://www.puppetnightmares.com/index.php?sh=23512 ? If you want some help, I'm Dark in the game, though asking on player chat is also a good idea sinse the community is very friendly too. Hey Dark! Thanks a lot for that update. I have never gotten al that far in star traders, found the interface a bit confusing, and were you ever able to navigate without missions to get out of deep space? The sounds seemed to center when the monster or object was close to the player character. - Changes have been made to remove a few problems arising with the introduction of Windows 8.1, - The user data files are now kept in the user's documents folder instead of being kept under the program files folder. Re: [Audyssey] Star traders 2 support for a game development project
Hi Anouke. There is certainly news about this on audiogames.net, though if someone who is a more regular applevis user could pass this on there that would be very helpful, sinse I'm not even registered on their forums and other than dropping the odd comment on a game's entry haven't really used the community features of the site at all (too much on other communities like this one and audiogames.net). About Star traders 1, it did used to be the case that you couldn't navigate without a mission, however that has very much changed in the last few updates. There is now a navigator planet list, which lists all the planets in order of closest first. Also, if you go onto the cargo screenn in your ship's status, you can navigate to positions of any rumours you've found or indeed missions, which is very useful for checking out important information you find in the spice hall. I will admit the game is not easy, but that is because it is a complex and highly intricate game more than because of any access issues. The only major problem I have with the game at the moment is there is no way to know what faction a given planet belongs to other than going there, or if it is a capital, civilized or fringe planet, which makes planning routes across space somewhat tortuous, but it's by no means a total put off. I'm looking forward to what I read of star traders 2, particularly what they say about npcs and quests. I should see about a podcast about the game at some stage. All the best, Dark. Nope, the alpha monkey can only be killed in one special way which you have to figure out for yourself, or you could read on if you want the spoiler. Beware! large Tarzan Junior spoilers follow read no more unless you want your game spoiled by the spoilers! When the alpha monkey appears, there is a short cutscene where Tarzan says he can't fight the alpha monkey with such a tiny spear. This is the clue on how to win. Run to the right to the end of the branch and fall off into the river, the Alpha monkey will jump in after you and sink streight to the bottom and drown! Don't try to swing away from the monkey or to fight him, sinse he'll wop you one and you'll lose a life, just dive into the river and watch the stupid ape fall to his doom! hth. Hi. I am hoping there will be access whatever eventually, but certainly it'll speed up the process. I am not sure if the first alpha will be fully accessible or if we will have to wait for things to be added, but according to the developers on the audiogames.net forum it will come, even if they're not exactly sure when. Re: [Audyssey] question about william lomas.
Hi Ishan, While I don't know William Lomas personally I have seen him on this and other lists over the years. That said, before you accuse him of cracking Montezuma's Return are you sure he is cracking the game? I know a number of people legally purchased that game back in 2008, when it was on sale, and got legitimate product keys. I'd have to go back through my records, something I don't have time for at this second, to see if William Lomas purchased a valid product key, but even if he didn't Montezuma's Return is effectively abandonware anyway. So I'm not concerned about cracking at this point. Cheers! [Audyssey] help needed running adventure at c
HI all I am struggling a lot to extract the adventure at c executable. I downloaded this game through audiogames.net. First of all, is it possible to play adventure at c with windows xp? My xp machine is the only one that I can play games on. I have a laptop with windows7 but my laptop's earphone socket stopped working completely. For me its not possible to play games like side scrollers without earphones. So if its possible to play adventure at c with xp, onto my further question. I downloaded the game using the latest fire fox. My downloads directory for fire fox is inside the my documents folder. This is what I did thus far: I went to my downloads directory. I highlighted the zip file containing the game. I pressed the context menu key. I choose the open with submenu and I choose compressed zip folder. This opens the zip file using windows explorer. I highlight all the files. There is a folder called stages and then there is the readme.txt file and the game executable. I highlight all 4 items and I choose copy from the edit menu. The copy item is definitely available; its not dimmed. Next I open another instance of windows explorer. I go into the program files folder on my c drive. Here I create a folder called adventure at c. I open the folder I have just created. I choose paste from the edit menu. The paste command is available; its not dimmed. Now I have a screen showing me that the items are copying. I can hear my hard drive working. After a couple of minutes the screen closes and I am back in the folder I have created for adventure at c. But all the files except for the executable have been copied. The stages folder and the read me are there, but not the executable. I now go back to the zip file using windows explorer and I only highlight and copy the executable this time I go to the folder I have created and I paste again. Again I have the screen showing me the item are being copied. Again after a couple of minutes the screen closes and I am back inside my created folder. But the executable was not copied. I retried a few times but still no success. The only antivirus I have is avast. Inside the avast interface I went into settings. Then I went into exclusions; then into file paths. Now I went back to the folder I have created inside the program files folder. I press alt d to move to the address bar. Now I press home followed by shift end to copy the entire address. I went back to the exclusions area in avast and I added this path as an exclusion. I did the same with the downloads folder. So it cannot be avast that prevents me from copying the executable. I tried several times to copy the executable after I added both folders to avastt's exclusion's but no success. What can I do to be able to copy the adventure at c executable? Many thanks for any help Bfn Nicol --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org.
