Re: [Audyssey] Snype Hunt, was games we'd like to play: musical chairs

2014-09-23 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,

The gravy bones are exactly what I'm talking about. MilkBone is just a
specific brand of gravy bones. Basically, just dog biscuits in a bone
shape with chicken or beef treats that are hard and crunchy. Just
another case of Americans calling them one thing and you Brits calling
them something else. I'm sure you have them, but perhaps not
specifically that brand.

Cheers!

I will admit I didn't realize that the bones in superdog's bone hunt weren't

the real sort, sinse I don't think we have milk bone treats over here. There

are lots of bone shaped dog treats, for example Reever regularly has gravy
bones, which are a sort of meaty flavourted dry biscuit in a bone shape, and

hyde bones, which are made out of dried sticks of animal hyde, (those are a

real treat), but I've not come across milk bones before.

Then again, guide dogs over here are quite strict on diets, especially for
labradors like Reever who regularly have stomach problems, so it is entirely

possible the milk bone treats are sold over here but I've not come across
them sinse generally when I'm buying stuff for Reever it has to be very
 specific brands.

 All the best,

 Dark.

[Audyssey] Memory Train Deluxe is now available.

2014-09-23 Thread Joshua Tubbs
Hi all,
I posted about this on the audio games new releases forum, but forgot to post
about it here.
My first game, Memory Train Deluxe, can now be found at http://orinks.net/ogames
Memory Train Deluxe is a memory Simon game, featuring 8Bit sounds and over 30
background music tracks.
I’m thinking up ideas for my next game. I’ve been doing programming exercises
for sound positioning and making grid movement for a sidescroller, so look for
that… in quite a while from now, that’s for sure.
I’m just glad to have gotten this little project out. Look for great new
projects from oGames soon!

Hi Dark,

Yeah. Yeah. We like to call things something different. Although,
according to us it is you bloody Brits who like to call things by the
wrong name as per usual. :D

Seriously, I wouldn't have known the bones in Super Dog were treats
either if Phil hadn't said something about it in the manual or on
list. I forget where the subject came up, but I might have assumed
they were steak bones or something like that if I hadn't been told
differently. Plus calling gravy biscuits MilkBones is common enough
that it generally is understood by American dog owners what a person
is talking about.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Mountain Zuma's Return.

2014-09-23 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Ishan,

Heavens no. It was only suppose to be a joke, and I for one wouldn't
want to play a spoof or joke version of my own game.

Besides that some of the things Phil said were true enough. I am in
some financial trouble right now, and am going through a divorce. So
the last thing I want to do is make light of or make fun of myself in
these trying times.

That said, I have something better in the works. I have plans to
redesign and rerelease Montezuma's Revenge/Montezuma's Return under a
new name written using my Evolution Engine. Beyond that I can't say
when it will be released or give much more information on it because I
simply do not know. My life is up in the air right now, and any plans
are tentative at best.

Cheers!
