Re: [Audyssey] New Game!
sure, but the simple games are fun if your sitting in a train station with your laptop and are bored, but don't know how much time you'll have to wait. Or if you have a.d.d like me and just need something fiddly to do while listening to a movie or what ever. Those kind of games that don't require much brain power to play are good for times like that. - Original Message - From: Thomas Ward [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Saturday, August 25, 2007 2:36 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] New Game! Hi Liam, I certainly don't have an issue with you giving criticism to any game. However, I think there are two different levels of programmers in our comunity the pros that produce such games like Troopenum, Monkey Business Shades of Doom, etc and the amatures that produce simple rainy day games like Guess the Voices, guess the number, and Bop It kinds of games. If you don't like the amature games you don't have to download and play them. I'll be honest here. I am not a big fan of simple games like Bop It, Guess the Number, Guess the Voices either. I want action FPS Games like Shades of Doom, Tank Commander, etc and those games are still few and far between in our comunity. Re: [Audyssey] pipe2 issue. extremely upset with damion sadelor!!
considering I know Damien very well, I can tell you that, while he can sometimes word things wrong, he never means anything nasty by things he says. - Original Message - From: blind guy [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Saturday, August 25, 2007 6:19 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] pipe2 issue. extremely upset with damion sadelor!! I'm not on that list, but... Well Damien, did u really do tthat? Because I've talked to you offlist and you seem nice enough, so... And also, very good suggestion Nicol if i do say so myself; very neat things ya got. i have only gotten to like level10 in that game but... still fun anways. speaking of toolboxes, how do u unlock those successfully? i keep hearing darn it! when it try and then i am back at fitting pipes. On 8/25/07, nicol [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Please correct me if I'm now addressing the wrong damion. According to my understanding damion sadelor, the head of x site interactive is the co moderator at the BSC list. For very long now I have been trying to convince the bsc mailing list that levels 13 and 14 of pipe2 blast chamber doesn't have any enemies. I'm getting a very bad attitude from the list, and damion is one of the guys that tell me how stupid and childish my suggestions is. Then out of utter despair I sent a message to the list yesterday night where I first addressed Justin and then I turned my face to the audience again so to speak. Then damion replied that my whole message was addressed to Justin privately, not to the list, but he didn't read my message thoroughly. The reason why I feel there should be enemies in levels 13 and 14 is not really because fitting pipes without enemies is borring. NO, it is not really borring. Because if levels 13 and 14 doesn't have any enemies it's a good chance to practice your pipe fitting skills without any enemies. But my opinion is: if Justin feels that 2 levels in the game shouldn't have any enemies why not make it the first 2 levels. And there is the practice round for those who want to fit pipes without enemies. My reason why I feel there should be enemies in levels 13 and 14, because now it happens that I unlock a toolbox on level 13 or 14 and now I get a bug spray and I would like so much to use this bug spray but now there are not spiders. Ok, you guys will say: but use the bug spray once you received it. NO, I want to use the bug spray as soon as a spider appears. That makes the use of bug spray feel more realistic. Its s bad to receive a special item in a toolbox and I can't use it! I really don't mind if I for example receive a special item in a toolbox in level5 and no enemies appear in level5 which I can kill using that special item because I can use those special items say on level6, but on levels 13 and 14 its bad not to get any enemies. So damion, I am very very unhappy because you jump down my throat regarding my pipe suggestions. I could have e-mailed you privately, but I want the rest of the gaming community to know that I have the innoscent intention of giving Justin my feedback regarding the game and what do I get? A moderator and list members that spank me on the fingers. I was never complaining, I was only giving innoscent feedback. It was said either in the manual or in the list guidelines, the purpose of the bsc gaming list is so that customers can give feedback to improve games. Now I remember, it was definitely said in the guidelines, I can still remember the wording more or less. We prefer that posts should only be on the topic of bsc games because we want feedback from our customers to improve our games. Now that I'm doing it, I get spanked on the fingers for a childish nonsense complaint.I've said it many times damion and I will say it again. I am a happy customer, I never feel that I wasted my money on pipe2, it's an action packed game, and the fact that the special items is randomized, that makes it interesting and that determines my score and that can cause me to get a high score to end up on number1 of the scoreboards. I'm not trying to say that Justin should leave his work that he is busy with now and update pipe with the changes I would like to see in it. I understand if Justin's schedule is full, the only point I want to bring across is, Justin must be assured that I'm valuing his game and I'm giving him feedback. But how sure can I be that damion doesn't privately discourage Justin to give me acknowledgement? At least if I take damion on on this list he can't take list action against me. I don't know how else I can tell people I'm unhappy with the attitude I'm getting. I know people said that they do get enemies in levels 13 and 14, but I am sorry, I can't believe this. Because as a pipe gamer you do not always pay attention to what level you are on. It happened to me in

Just a question for those of you who have done a lot of exploring. In the area outside the boss room, there is this long passage stretching from the elevator to the door of the boss room. As I walk down this passage there is passages to my left and right, and from them monsters came out. I managed to kill them all, what I would like to know: is it necesary to walk down each of those passages? If there's no ammo etc. lying there, then it sno use me walking down each one of them. Because I tried it and I got lost somewhere so it took me a while to get back to the main passage. I'm just asking for when I play the boss level on higher experience levels. Well the monsters doesn't carry anything, but if any one found stuff lying around in those passages then its worth walking down each one of those passages. After the guy says: tie yourself, you deserve a medal for this, the ship makes a sound as its departing and the eva says: congrachulations, you have completed shades of doom successfully. But then the ship's sound continues. I waited a while to hear if the sound will vanish but it just continues. So then I pressed a key and the sound stops and I was back in the menu. Will this sound play and play until I press a key? Or will it fade awayh after a while? ___ Gamers mailing list .. Sounds interesting! So if I understand it correctly aparate is the same as teleporting? Telepoert is a term that is used in science fiction movies and aparating is the same but it is a term used in wizardry. ___ Gamers mailing list .. Reading Michael Feir's post about his game idea Space Miners reminds me of a game I want very much to produce in the next few years. I don't know how many of you had the priveledge of playing m.u.l.e. back in the early eighties, but it was a game well ahead of its time, and one of the most addictive games outside of Lemmings I have ever played. I won't go into detail about the game, you can find plenty on google about it, but I promise you if and when I get around to doing something along the lines of it, anyone with a strategic bent will dig it. Does anyone know of any games past or future that fall into this narrow genre? Later, Che ___ Gamers mailing list .. Very, very nice! woohoo! I used the machine gun and had no enemies land! Way fun! How does one know where each level begins and ends? I simply played until it told me the demo was over... The demo plays the first five levels, yes?... -Not sure how to distinguish between them... Anyway, Liam, a couple of tech questions; out of curiosity, which installer did you use? I like it a lot! It has a very clean interface and I like the ability to easily read the docs from within the install program... Secondly, what language did you code this in, if you don't mind my asking?... Anyway, great job! really really fun!... smile Will visit the site to check out pricing and such... Anyway, thanks for all of your effort!!! The game rocks!...
