Hi,
Well, you certainly don't need all the .Net Framework versions for my
games. Only .Net 2.0 and DirectX are vital to running it. I haven't yet
moved to .Net 3.0, but eventually I may do so.

Hi Mich,
Short of me sending you a diagnostic tool I don't think we can solve
this one immediately. Stay tight and after patch 1 is out I'll scratch
out a diagnostic tool to try and scan your system for errors.

That's the program I used when I had my Sapi issues with JFW a few months
back. Of course I'll be switching over to Window Eyes in the next few days
so that doesn't matter. But anyway, it's good that we have that file in case
Sapi goes on the blink. I've actually had to use that file a few times.

Hi Davy,
yes. The application just runs in the background. You won't see any
dialogs,
Windows, etc. It will simply run, and exit when finished.

Hi all,
I have uploaded a Sapi 5 repair tool to the USA Games web site. You can
download it at
http://www.usagames.us/downloads\sapi\deluserlex.exe
that you can download to repair many Sapi 5 and 5.1 issues.
Let me know if this resolves any or all of the Monty issues you are having.
Cheers.

Hi Simon,
That is great news. I think I will now begin packaging that tool as
apart of the Monty setup so end users will have it if they need it.

Hi Mich,
Oh, grief. Well, the error you gave below is a general protection fault.
That means, in non-techno speak, that the application doesn't know what
crashed the game, and so it gives a very generic error. Those are often
the worst kinds to debug.
Does it give you a details button to click on?

Hi Che,
Not sure, but it is one of the solutions given to fix Sapi. Frankly, I
am beginning to run short of ideas out side of telling them they need a
reinstall of XP which would certainly fix the problem, but I understand
their desire not to do so.

I have tried this tool with the customers that have had sapi issues, and
it has not worked in 3 different cases yet. This doesn't mean it won't work
in this case, but I have to wonder just what this tool is supposed to do
here, anyone know exactly?
