Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. Most of the time this list is pretty good, but now and then there are a few bad apples that like to spoil it for everyone. Usually, at the very time both moderators are away like on weekends or holidays. I hope you and others don't let a few childish individuals totally ruin your gaming discussions on list.As Raul and I are quick to clean up the messes once we discover them, but practicality does not allow us to be present on list 24/7. blind guy wrote: Hello, if another argument starts like this, I will leave the list! ___ Gamers mailing list .. Sorry? You know, I'm sorry too. I don't think a simple three-word sentence is going to cover it. This past summer, we've had something like four of these instances. I am tired of it. Maybe you guys can understand why I don't post to this list. I am seriously considering leaving; I get enough e-mail as it is already. If you're really sorry, then you're going to at least have to earn my trust back. I can't say anything for the rest of you, bI think people who cause such riotous disputes need to be reprimanded. Hi, That is called the no mail option. You can still be unsubscribed to the list, but be in a no mail state where you don't recieve messages for a period of time like if traffic is heavy or you go away ffor a couple weeks on vacation, etc. blind guy wrote: Ok. I belong to another list that I truly enjoy. It also went thru a small crisis like this list. Only instead of two users going off and tearing at each other.. it was one user consistantly tearing on other users in this list. I learned quickly how to use the filtering options in Outlook express. Any and all mail that this user sent was filtered to go directly into my trash. My problem was solved...never saw any of his rants or tirades against other users. and surprisingly enough..it cut down on my email message inbox by almost 55%.. Never realized how much this one user posted. So don't worry, be happy and learn to user your EMail programs filtering options. grin Robert ___ Gamers mailing list .. [Audyssey] Attention Moderators and entire list!!!
Thomas, As soon as I finish this message I am unsubscribing from this list. I joined this list to learn about new games and talk to developers and provide interesting ideas of what I would personally like to see in the blind community as far as games. Unfortunately, I have seen way too much unprofessional, backstabbing and down right terrible behavior from some of these so called developers. If these developers were truly serious about development they would respect others ideas and rights to their web sites and intellectual property. This disrespect among some of these developers is what has turned me away from this list. I would like to urge you to share this with the list in the hopes it might bring these people around. I am certain that I will not be purchasing or even downloading a free game from some of these developers. Hopefully that will make them think twice about this pettiness. There is little money to be made in this business and alienating potential customers is not the way to start a company or make the customer feel comfortable with the product they are providing. Why would I want to buy a product from someone that exhibits such poor behavior? I certainly couldn't trust the product. Now please don't misunderstand, I have seen some people conduct themselves with propriaty and tact when their methods and material came under fire. To those people I wish the best of luck and I hope to see your products soon. Thank you for your attention. Yvonne Alaniz Stressed out? Need to relax? Hi guys. Ok, let's straighten things out here. Who farted was wrongly accused of being my message. Bearing in mind that more than one person has access to my site, including Tristan, let's say that it was wrong of Tristan to accuse me of putting that message there. The message in fact was actually my girlfriend's, her idea of a little touch to the site. Secondly, talking about immaturity is a doddle for this guy, as an incident occurred last week which put us into a very heated argument, which involved him stealing and trying to use php scripts that had been custom written for me, for his own site, when I had clearly told him not to. It then went from negotiations to trying to crash my eloquence with the h' words, which may otherwise be written out fully as Here and Have, along with his best friend Alex. I therefore, do not want any false accusations made about me and my people, and I don't want any more complaints of immature behaviour from people that do equally immature things. To the rest of you, I hope that clarifies why I don't feel Tristan is serious about his company. He is, after all, 11 years old. Regards, Damien C.
