Re: [Audyssey] Has anyone ever been able to play the Infocom text adventure Shogun?

Hi Milos,

Got you. I wasn't aware of tthe history of Inform and ZCode so this is
nice to know. Thanks for the correction.

 Hey Tom,
Just a correction here if you allow me. the Infocom games are not written in
Inform. The Inform programming language was created by Graham Nelson after
the Infocom games had been released. It was created to be abe to create the
z-code files that was produced by Infocom, and that is what you will most
likely find in the descriptions of Inform.
 Best!

Hi Keith,

Yes, Shogun is playable. However, what interpreter specifically are
you using. I don't understand when you say, I am using the text
reader from White Stick. I'm afraid that doesn't make any sense as
the Infocom games were written in a language known as Inform and are
played using in interpreter like Frotz, Winfrotz, Zoom, and so forth.

play the text only games from Infocom. \

I am not sure, sinse on the interactive fiction page at whitestick there are
links both to wintads, and to winfrotz tts.

Logic would suggest winfrotz tts, but I'm not certain.

Beware the grue!
