Hi Jason,
I like the idea. A blind socker game would be pretty wicked. Nice thought.

Hi Ari,
The diner game sounds interreting for a try, but I would think It would
lose it' apeal after a couple of plays. It isn't my type of game, and I
don't know how much a game like that would be in demand.

Hello everyone it's Jason I think tht would be a good idea for a resturant
game as well. I love food and lots of it.
I also like trying out different varieties of food as well. so I think that
kind of a game would be fun, especialy if you manage rooby Tuesdays or apple
b's or some be corporate resturant.

 Hi guys,
Found this in The Guardian from the UK, would love a game like this, it
 really seems charmingly fun!
 Ari
 Diner Dash Nintendo DS, PSP

 nick gillett

Diner Dash makes you the sole member of the waiting staff in a

sequence of progressively larger and busier restaurants. Manage

the queue, seat diners, take orders, pass them to the kitchen,

supply interim snacks, bring the food to the right table, pour

the drinks, offer dessert, bring the bill, clear the table and

drop off the dirty crockery at the kitchen. It starts easy and

gets steadily more taxing with the addition of bigger tables,

different sized parties, diners who eat very slowly even when you

really need their table back and the tendency of customers to

walk out if you take too long over any of the above. Reminiscent

of the gameplay made famous by Nintendo's 1980s Game Watch

series, it requires management of increasingly hard to contain

chaos and demands enormous concentration, which may sound like

hard work, but is actually a pleasingly frenetic way to waste

sizable portions of the tiny amount of time that constitutes

 human existence.

I was wondering about if an accessible game of soccer could be created.
It would be great to here crowd noise players kicking the ball and having
names of teams just like the world cup and I hope the U.SA wins the cup

when you score a goal the announcer shouts goal in excitement and the

Re: [Audyssey] Idea for game

2007-05-27 Thread shaun everiss
I think this game would be in design a reasonable thing to do.
Sounds it would be easy in design to produce.
We only need stereo panning, left, right and centre positions.
In theory we wouldn't even have to use directx, i mean we could but we probably
would not unless we were going to put in ambience and things.
This should be easy.
The math calculations for various variables may take time to work, sound
sorcing for some effects and voices would be a challange, although a load of
the actual sfx are already in sound libraries.

Re: [Audyssey] Idea for game

2007-05-27 Thread Dark
To be honest, with the description talking about the game bbeing similar to
game watch, I'm guessing it's more of a fast action multi-tasking game
than a theme park, sim city style stratogy, probably requiring some of the
Ds touch screen targiting in the controls, and different minigames for each
task.

while something like that would be fun, in the end, if the focus was action
and minigames, it'd probably end up as a more expanded version of the
Sudworks table from Esp pinball Xtreme. there's no doubt this would be
entertaining, but personally I'd much rather have a serious stratogy
title, - such as sim city or theme park, or better stil, a military
stratogy game such as command and conquer or (even better for fantasy fans),
war craft.

Sorry to sound a negative note, but imho we already have plenty of nice,
destracting game watch style minigames in audio.

Of course, an audio version of Diner dash might be more strategical and less
action and minigame orientated, but we'd probably be talking about a
different style of game here.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
