[Audyssey] Introduction and a question

2009-05-09 Thread Eleanor Robinson
Helena asked if there were any word games available. 7-128 Software has
several word games that can be purchased at www.7128.com

The games are rated as to their accessibility and a number of them are
fully accessible to the blind as well as the visually impaired. So check
us out.

Hi,

Welcome to the list - hope you find it as helpful as I do.
In terms of word games, there are quite a few. If I'm not mistaken, to get
you started try out Jim Kitchen's Hangman. Its free and you can find it at:

http://www.kitchensinc.net

Also there's
http://www.audiogames.net
If you find a link called search, you can search by genre, one of those
genre's being word games.
Also the trivia games might be enjoyable for you, they kinda have something
to do with words, or at least knolidge, grins. Again I recommend Jim
Kitchens trivia, also found at the above link.

does anyone know of any word- or anagram games?. I have BG boggle and
Word-target, and especially the last one is awesome, but does anyone know
of any others?

Hi Helena and welcome to the list.

the game database at www.audiogames.net will let you search for a specific
game genre including word games. see http://audiogames.net/search.php? for a
list.

You might also be interested in the trivia games catagory, sinse some word
games which are based on deffinition have been classified as trivia.

While I admit the database isn't precisely complete, someone! aka me,
has been rather lazy in updating it, I think the word games catagory is
pretty comprehensive.

I can particularly recommend 7-128's games. Though they're commercial, they
do come with demos, and lots of sounds and music to make things interesting.

Hth.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

[Audyssey] introduction and a question which has been bugging me for quite a long time.

2007-01-07 Thread aaron danvers-jukes
hello,
My name is Aaron, I am 14 years old, and am a totally blind gamer.
I started playing video games since 4 and ever since then, have basicly been
hooked. I play console games such as Tekken, Soul Calibur II (have not played
III yet though), urban reign, the mortal kombat series, and others. i was
introduced to accessible games in, i think, 2003.
and now for my question. in the audyssey magazine and on the list archives, i
found topics about the text rpg game "legends". i have not been able to find
this game. no urls work. it's not on the interactive fiction archive. it does
not seem to be on the internet at all.
I think i will enjoy my time here.
regards,
Aaron.
