Re: [Audyssey] Moderator I need to contact you off-list to makeacomplaint.

2012-06-15 Thread Charles Rivard
I posted the entire message which included all of the events happening today
at the site. I felt it was appropriate, because a game is taking place this
evening.

Well firstly, I don't think anyone can worry about spamming up the list
who doesn't post as much as me or Thomas, and I would say neither of
us spams the list either sinse we are at least vaguely related to the
discussion.

As regards charles message, I actually wonder if he just sent the wrong
messag, sinse usually his out of site events are! related to games. Maybe
he just sent a message about a bible study he was running to the wrong
address.

As to other messages from him, I've never really noticed anything wrong at
all, and the only really overtly christian thing I've seen in most of his
messages is occasionally a signature or a last line, and myself I'm
inclined to just think anyone can post whatever they want for a signature
within reason, thus I don't see this as a moderation matter at all, other
than perhaps charles reposting a different out of site message.

Beware the grue!

2012-06-15 Thread Fred Olver
Charles, what makes you think I would be contacting the moderators about
you? I have, I believe asked you very nicely not to post material for what I
believe are some very good reasons. If I do take up my concern with the
moderators, I will, of course, abide by there decision, however I do have
the right to bring my concern to them, and I would also say to you, since
you have as much as said it to me, if you don't like it, that's just to bad.

Read the last part of my post. It certainly is game related, although it
is not about video games. These announcements are dealing with a voice
chat site where you can take part in games by using a mike connected to
your PC and using a voice chat client. The site is

www.Out-Of-Sighe.net

And, very importantly, and this has been brought up before, this is not
spam! Do not accuse me as a spammer! That is very inaccurate and very
offensive.

Fred,

I too have had concerns about Charles' mail, though perhaps not the
same ones as you. In this particular one, there's no discussion at
all of video games; and at least half of it is badly translated
christian bible quotes.

I realize I probably spam up the list a lot myself, and I apologize in
advance for doing so - but I do try to keep it video game related.

Genesis 3

1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the
LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, has God said, All of
you

shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the
trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God
has said, All of you shall not eat of it, neither shall all of you touch
it,

lest all of you die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, All of you shall not surely die:
5 For God does know that in the day all of you eat thereof, then your
eyes

shall be opened, and all of you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it
was
pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she
took of
the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her;
and

he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were
naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the
cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence
of

the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where are you?
10 And he said, I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid,
because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the
tree, whereof I commanded you that you should not eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me
of

the tree, and I did eat.

questions:
1. What do you see that Adam did besides eating of the tree of life?
2. Do you see the blame game on sin ? If so explain.
3. How is this fall in the garden relate today's sins?
