Re: [Audyssey] Question About Some Games from Ticon Blue

2014-08-15 Thread dark

Hi Kelly.

I have inquisitor's heartbeat for my Iphone as well as inquisitor chapter 1.
Heartbeat is good for what it is, though a little frustrating.

Instead of being a full audio adventure game, it's a maze puzzle. You are
underground and need to find your way out, and can only go in the cardinal
directations. The audio is extremely good tnd atmsopheric and there is
actually a story along with the mazes. The mazes also are on average small,
which means though you can get lost, you don't get lost for too long, or at
least that is my experience.

On the down side, the game doesn't quite control in the way that it's
description on the ap store says it should, sinse rather than touching the
respective parts of the screen you actually have to one finger swipe. I also
couldn't find any command to interact with the environment either though the
manual said there was one (although all interactions seemed to happen
automatically). In addition, the game doesnt' really seem that efficient at
menus, or at managing save files generally.

I also don't find it's quite as addictive sinse essentially it's a basic
maze game, albeit one with unusually good audio ambience and story.

I've heard very good things about she noire, and of course there is no
inquisitor chapter 2 out. I do plan to get all the titles fromticon blu
eventually sinse I do admire how they're put together and also I appreciate
how well they've done in terms of acting (especially given that they're
producing the games in multiple languages), but I'd probably advise you to
look at some of their other work before trying heartbeat.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

The village is now available, for the iPhone, and in September a space game
will be coming out.

Re: [Audyssey] Question About Some Games from Ticon Blue

2014-08-15 Thread Charles Rivard
Do these titles have anything to do with each other, as in a serial? Should
one be bought and played before another in any sequence? I'm considering
buying them for my iPhone, and don't want to work on the second before the
first. That would be like reading The Two Towers and then The Fellowship
of the Ring. Thanks. Also, the P, not the i, is capitalized in iPhone.
This is proper and will cause the correct pronunciation of the device.

Re: [Audyssey] Question About Some Games from Ticon Blue

2014-08-15 Thread dark

Hi Charlse.

Yes, the inquisitor games should be played in sequence, but she noire and
audio speed (and presumably their upcoming space game), have nothing to do
with inquisitor, though I believe a second She Noire game is planned later.

So, if your planin ong pick up the inquisitor series, you should start with
the first game, ie the game just called the Inquisitor then move on to
Inquisitor chapter 2 the village, (sinse playing that first really would! be
like reading two towers before fellowship).

inquisitor's heartbeat is optional. It's sort of a spinoff in the same
universe but isn't connected with the over all plot of the inquisitor games,
or at eleast I don't believe so from what I've played thus far.

hth.

All the best,

DArk.

[Audyssey] Question About Some Games from Ticon Blue

2014-08-14 Thread Kelly Sapergia

Hi,

I bought Chapter 1 of the Inquisitor a few weeks ago for Windows, and am
really enjoying it. I plan on getting chapter 2 of the series as well, but
I've also been considering getting maybe another title. I'm wondering if
anyone has tried Audiospeed, Inquisitor's Heartbeat, or She-Noire, and if
yes, what do you think of them?

Thanks.

Yours Sincerely,
