So Raul was talking about the volume control on Vista with the What You Hear
Option, but for me using XP what settings do I need to change here?

Re: [Audyssey] Recording games with Goldwave?

2008-01-12 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
You will have to change the recording source from microphone to sound
mixer. If you have a creative card, it's usually called What you hear
Once you do this, from the playback volume controls, you will have to
unmute the microphone. Now all windows sounds, game sounds, and
microphone sounds will be recorded. As far as where to upload them to,
you will need to get a web host or a friend to host the files for you.
Of course you can always take your chances with one of the large file
sending outfits like sendspace, but I tend not to trust them.

Good luck.

 Hi all,
I've started using Goldwave to do recordings, I want to record a review of
myself playing Showdown, Duck Hunt and the 7128 gamebook, but be able to
talk at the same time. My first problem is that GW only is recording what I
am saying into the microphone, how can I get it also to record the games and
what comes from my sound card, as well as the microphone? Then, when I have
recorded my reviews, where to can I upload it?
 Thanks

Hi Raul,
Is it to the Device Tab in Goldwave that I go to change the recording
source? In this tab, I get the following options:
Record device: a combo box with Primary Sound Driver, or my Realtech
Soundcard. Is this the place you meant I must go to? Do I choose the Sound
Card?
Thanks

Hi Ari,
I always set up the recording device in the Windows volume control.
Under Vista it is a bit trickier, but under XP setting up the device
with the Volume Control is very strait forward.

No. I mean you have to change it in the Windows volume control applet as
well as making sure GW is setup correctly. However, setting this up is
border line off topic. My suggestion to you is to perhaps subscribe to
pc-audio at www.pc-audio.org and read their archives or ask there.

You might also try the support forums on goldwave.com, as that'sa where all
the goldwave experts probably are.
