I wasn't actually thinking of moving the phone quickly to jump, rather of jumping past the trains or cars when you and they were in the right place, using the tap to hop gesture that's already in the game so there is some continuity between the two portions. As to movement I didn't really think of turn to face the cars or trains so much as you moving left to right along a closed arena, rather like the paddle in breakout, with the trains or cars ahead of you and the need to jump, as opposed to turning left or right and jumping to each lillypad, though there would undoubtedly be different ways to representthe same thing. Basically you hear the sound of the cars or trains moving quickly from one side of the sterrio field to the other, and have to move forward when it is at one side sinse if you hit it in the center you'd be squished. The better varients had multiple cars or trains to get past and a varying forward movement speed so you perhaps had to judge position of a couple of objects at once. Very doable in audio actually and it would be a nice eddition, espeically if the hop distance could be varied just as in the original frogger. As to racer, what I mean is I found that when trying to set settings, flick between levels etc, even find out about the upgrade, for some reason voiceover's reading of the screen was very patchy. I couldn't flick to items, often the speech would be choppy, and when moving around the screen frequently o would not speak at all. It was actually so bad it was difficult for me to set anything. When I tried just playing with the in built voice and turning vo off, I noticed a major problem with the movement and actually the same I had before, it'd be fine some of the time then for some reason just stop responding, leaving my car to pootle along and then slam into a fence. It also did seem an in game movement issue sinse even though the first couple of levels do not employ the gas peddle, the speed of the car went down to nothing and took literally five minutes to complete a stage, bouncing off fences all the way. This is why in terms of the game, I'd either do very well, or for no reason very badly, eg, scores of 0 or %100 on the first couple of races. I was hoping this bug was fixed in the newer version. Re: [Audyssey] a couple of new games out from kidfriendlysoftware
Hi Joseph. I remember Marty was on list at one time so I did rather hope he picked up the message, though i'll probably wait until I've tried more of the games to consider suggestions sinse he updates them very frequently, I'm actually a little sorry I'm only getting to these now, but there's not a lot else to do. Thanks for letting us know. I've started playing these and adding them to the db. Hopper is my favourite thus far, I love the sounds of the lilly pads and jumping to earn score, also the challenge of deciding when to bale out and when to keep trying. I wonder if we'll see more levels in the future sinse so far all the levels are on easy, in particular, having an avoiding cars stage similar to the original frogger before you start lilly pad hopping would be really nice. I enjoy roadtrip, though I do wish there were more opponentns in the game especially with the different skill levels, likewise hearts is fun though I really miss the passing rules for that game. Breakout is very awesome and good fun, I'd love to see more levels. Pong I like, though I miss having an opponent, however that I suspect is what the air hocky game is about. Racer I've tried, but I found the interface with vo still rather clunky, also there were various odd points that for some reason my car would stop and I'd just drift along in one direction not going fast and suddenly hitting the fence. It was odd, usually the sterring would be fine but then suddenly it wouldn't be, which is not something I've found in any of the other action games I've tried such as pong, breakout and hopper. I intend to work my way through and at least try all of them, and will likely purchice several, and Hopefully I'll get them all entries on the db soon. [Audyssey] a couple of new games out from kidfriendlysoftware
Hello all ios gamers there is a couple of new games out one of them is blindfold spin and solve and info on this is below app store link https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blindfold-spin-and-solve/id1086360992?mt=8 description Blindfold Spin And Solve is a fully accessible phrase guessing game for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play. You and your opponent take turns spinning a wheel to determine the cash prize you win if you guess a letter in the phrase,or the entire phrase, or you can buy a vowel. If you guessed right, you keep spinning the wheel and guessing more letters, until you determine the entire phrase. For example, one of the phrases in the game is "MORE FUN THAN A BARREL OF MONKEYS", and when the game starts out, it tells you that there are 7 words in the phrase and that the first word has 4 letters, the second word has 3 letters, the third word has 4 letters, and so on. Blindfold Spin And Solve was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Word Games and Blindfold Color Crush. version 1.1.8 The second one is called blindfold shuffle board.
