Hi Che, Unfortunately, Microsoft offers no simple or easy way to obtain that information. For example, the dxdiag.exe utility will only report you are running 9.0C, but will not give you actual stable release dates which is crytical if you are using the updated releases such as June 2007. The only way to really know is by comparing the date/time stamps on the dlls themselves with your Microsoft DirectX dll files. For example, for the June 2 2007 release of DirectX your Microsoft.DirectX.dll file should report a create date/time of Tuseday May 8, 2007 at 3:10:57 PM. You could compare that time stamp with your end user's installation, and then know which version they had installed. If that was all that was involved you might say no problem. Well, unfortunately finding those runtime libraries can be a pain as they are usually in hidden folders which needs to be unhidden before they can read those date/time stamps. [Audyssey] getting direct x date info
Hi all, I am trying to determine if users have the June 2007 version of direct x on their systems. Does anyone know where to get the date info? I havn't been in dxdiag for a bit but I thought the date was displayed somewhere to. You could just check the versions on the dlls and dates maybe I don't know.
