Hi, when I could see, and had a Super Nintendo, thre was a game called Sid Meier's Civilization. Apparrantly it was a rare game because it was the most expensive game I had found for the super nes new or used. Basically, you chose a nationality (roman, greek, english, france, egyptian, etc), and started out back in ancient times and would acquire knowledge to build and develop things like factories, monuments, etc. Is there anything out there for the blind? Re: [Audyssey] looking for strategy type game...
Hi, Actually that game came out on the amiga back in the nineties, and also on the PC. I thinkt he port to the snes was later. There came out a second one called civilization 2 which was the best one out of the first three civ versions I played. I think it is up to civ 5 or higher. This game is perhaps one of the best strategy games of that time frame, and if I could see, I would still be playing it, lol. That free civ sounds interesting. I would love to be able to actually play civilization again! al -Original Message- From: Gamers [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of KS Sent: Monday, August 19, 2013 11:39 AM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: [Audyssey] looking for strategy type game... Hi, Yes and no. There is a free clone of that game called Freeciv, but it isn't 100% accessible. I have often wondered what it would be like to take the source for Freeciv and add Sapi support etc and make it fully accessible. Cheers!
