Hi.
Speaking of the flash language, How hard would that be to learn. I've
found some really cool accessible games written in it.
Thanks

Thanks Thomas. I will send the file tomorrow to you, its at work. I forgot
to put it on my thumb drive.
I have also sent the file to Richard at audiogames.net but I haven't got a
response from him yet.

Hi Nicol,
Sorry, I see I must have confused you. Flash is a programming language.
It is not one I am extremely familiar with though just because I haven't
had much need for it in the passed. I've been more in contact with Java,
C++, Visual Basic, and that sort of thing.
However, if you want me to look at it send me the source and I will at
least look at it. No promieses of writing anything though. I've got
plenty of programming work just converting all of my games from C# to
C++ right now.

Fine, I will ask the people at my work to give me the source code directly, not
in flash form. Then more folks might be able to jump in and try remaking it?

Hi,
Sounds like a little project for Richard from audiogames.net. He is the
only one I know of on here that uses flash. As for myself I dispise the
language though I probably know enough of it to convert it to something
else.

[Audyssey] ship game

2008-05-05 Thread 0722001794
Hi all.
Nicol here.
I would like to know if there is any developer who want to try their hand at a
flash game.
At my workplace a game has been released on the intranet, it’s a game where
you have to guide your boat to a harbour avoiding many obstacles.
I'm working for south african revenue services, the agency governing tax
collection in south africa. So this little game has been released on the
intranet to demonstrate how revenue collection can be compared with a boat
sailing to his destination.
I would very much like to play this game, however its not in its current state
accessible for blind people. Is there anyone who want to try remaking this game
so that it becomes accessible? NO need to worry about copyright issues, my
employer has given full permission for an accessible remake to be created of
this game.
And I'm sure once its made accessible others will enjoy playing it too.
Please let me know who will be interested so that I can send the source code
along to you.
The source code for the game is contained within a flash file. I don’t know the
extention but within windows explorer jaws reads that the file type is shockwav
flash object.
