Isn't shooter and fighting games the same category? Fightink games are similar like Mortal combat, Street fighter or games, when you don.t need weapon. Hi Nicol, No. The game industry in general separates shooter games from fighting games. What the fighting game genre basically means is that it is based on the martial arts or some other hand to hand combat verses guns and other weapons. For example, Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, double dragon, etc follow the fighting game genre because the focus is on martial arts and hand to hand combat specifically.
