Hi Tim and all, Windows 7 is the code name for Microsoft's next generation Windows operating system do out in 2010. It is largely built upon Windows Vista technology, but Microsoft is specifically fixing driver and other issues known to be in Vista. From what I have read Windows 7 is suppose to basically be a more stable and stream lined version of Windows Vista.Obviously, at this point if you have Vista with all service packs and Windows Updates install you are getting the stable components from Windows 7 since Vista SP1 and Windows 7 are being designed concurrently. tim kilgore` wrote: > What's windows 7? > > Tim --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. Hello Thomas! A, that's good. I am also a vista user, so your games should work fine on my system. I can also play ryans games vithout problems. I think it is not important if you program in VB6 or VB2008, because programs whritten with any of the visual editions will run on all systems. Or am i here wrong? Re: [Audyssey] your decision
Hi Claudio, In answer to your question the current version of Raceway is being developed in Visual C# 2008. System requirements are .NET Framework 3.5 and DirectX March 2008. Supported operating systems will be Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and looks like it will be Windows 7 ready. I've been doing some asking around on the Microsoft forums about Windows 7 compatibility and most seam to think my games should be alright on Windows 7. Right now .NET Framework 3.5 is being integrated into Windows 7 as a core technology, and as long as the C++ DirectSound and DirectInput libraries ship with Windows 7 the managed .NET libraries will work fine on Windows 7. the only problem will be Managed DirectX won't be receiving any upgrades to meet changes in DirectX for Windows 7 though there should be some backwards compatibility for Vista applications. Which as everyone knows my games are being designed specifically for Windows Vista uses, but are backwards compatible for XP users as long as they have the proper Windows updates. Hello Thomas! For then days ago, you asked ousin wich language we would like raceway programmed. You sayed that if you program in c++ you need a year to finish the game, or if you program in visual c# you'll need only until christmas.
