Re: [Audyssey] Pinball games save feature?
Hi Dark, Yeah, back in the day at the Mentor Mall Arcade we even had a pinball save game feature. You know it was like Hey Abe watch my machine, I'm going out for a cigaret. And hey since we were coworkers at the car wash of course we would do that for each other. grin Some times at closing we could even talk the dude into leaving that machine on over night so that we still had our game the next day. Re: [Audyssey] Pinball games save feature?
Lol Jim! Well just as tilting the tables can now be done without risking the wrath of the arcade owner, saving could now be done without racking up a huge electricity bill and risking your mate who wants to get a higher score than you, shooting all your balls down the drain before you get back ;D. Re: [Audyssey] Pinball games save feature?
Indeed Jim, that's what I was thinking of, particularly when you've got 14 extra balls (as I had on the pinball Xtreme table the other day), it'd be a good idea. Obviously saving with the ball in mid flight wouldn't make much sense. Beware the Grue! Go to a pinball arcade, I mean a real reall pinball arcade, and while the ball is flying around the table, bonging bells, banging bumpers, pattles flipping like mad, the player pushes a button on the machine and every thing just stops in place. That would have been so awesome back in the day when there were real pinball machines around. I can remember when I was 7 or 8 they had out a Kiss pinball machine I use to play like mad. If you got a high score or so on the machine would start blasting Rock And Roll All Night and Party Every Day.You would try and hit guitars, drumbs, and other rock instruments with the ball as well as numbered scores. Hi, I would like to see that as well. I certainly think I could come up with a sound scheme for it since I have most of the instruments here to do it with. How many pinball tables have you physically played which had a save feature? None as far as I know. dark said the following on 1/3/2008 12:19 PM: Hi. I was playing esp pinball Xtreme yesterday, was on over 30 on the pinball xtreme table with about 12 extra balls, and had to run off to watch the simpsons. Being as there's the oppertunity to rack up really high scores over an extended period on these tables, imho the ability to save and resume a game would be an incredibly good idea, especially if (as I hope), more tables like pinball xtreme with many progressive tasks and interest are on the way. Re: [Audyssey] Pinball games save feature?
Oh way cool! Do you by chance, remember a machine called Black Hole, where you'd have the main play area, but in the middle of such, there was a glass window. Underneath the window, there was another play area in reverse of the first one which would light up when you got the ball in a certain area above. It looked like a swirling black hole in blues / purples and the object on the lower area was to keep the ball from going into the black hole. lol! anyway, fun stuff!!! woohoo!...
