We've been seeing this for some time, the oldest record from April 2007, so
I don't think it's related to the xss patches. The actual error message is
being thrown by libart. I can reproduce it by asking rrdtool to graph 'a
lot' of data on one graph.

It does seem benign, as you mentioned. If you log all of the ganglia rrdtool
calls it should be easy enough to track down which one is throwing that - it
might help to get a bug report together for rrdtool/libart.

From google searches, these issues should be resolved with new
versions of rrdtool (not sure about libart though).

I've tried enabling debug in the webfrontend to try to identify which
image was causing the warning messages with no luck. I cannot
consistently reproduce it and it seems spurious.

Cheers,

Bernard

I think this started cropping up after the xss-fixes in both 3.0.x
 branch and trunk.

I think these are benign messages, but it would be nice to get rid of
them instead of taking up space.

Anybody else can confirm they are getting these messages?

I'm not seeing them on my production install at work either from a
3.0.5 frontend or a trunk frontend. I'm using rrdtool 1.2.23 and
libart-2.3.6 on a Centos4.6 box.

Note I'm running on CentOS 4.x and rrdtool-1.2.26. I mention this as
it may be rrdtool version dependent.
