Thank you Jack, gcc-7.2.0 now compiles correctly on my i7 system (8 cores HT)
with encrypted APFS

I'm also trying to compile gcc-7.2.0 on macOS 10.13, and I'm using encrypted
APFS, but it does not make this bug disappear.
