GCC 3.4.5 is no longer supported and really did not have support for
x86-darwin.  Please use a newer version of GCC.

 with version i686-apple-darwin10-gcc-4.2.1] gives an error mentioned below.

You will find a patched gcc-3.4.6 gcc/gpc compiler at
http://www.microbizz.nl/gpc.html that still compiles on Mac OS X 10.6
