Does it do nothing on darwin because long double is already 128bits  
on Darwin?  Some of the messages on the lists imply that there are 64- 
bit long doubles as well as 128-bit long doubles.

First --with-long-double-128 does nothing on Darwin.
Second this is a dup of bug 25978.
