I can not reproduce it anymore on the test in comment #3.

There were a few changes in LRA code (insn alternative) selection heuristics
last 3 months.  I guess they solved the problem.

Original testcase is now latent on Trunk.  However, the simplified testcase in
comment 3 still triggers the bug.
