Well, it is selfsigned as I use SNI for the host and the first cert is selfsigned. I thought of getting a cert for geeqie.org to. But it will never be such a stupid one than lets encrypt as that expires every month or three and just trains users to accept a new one. The only CA that is at least a bit trustable is CACert but this is not existent in most browsers. On the other hand, my registrar does not support dnssec (the one for de and org) so I cannot setup TLSA for that domain. I know that I swim against the stream regarding that. But HTTPS is so broken that there is no real security improvement in using it. For example as long as such registrars like turktrust or verisign or others are in all the browsers, there is no security. TLSA via DNSSEC is a solution but the most browsers ignore that and DNSSEC is not widely enough spread. But long story short, I do not believe that this is the reason. > Another possible reason is the rise of Tor :-) Well, You think that all users in America uses Tor? -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA512 Hi Folks, I pushed the weblog of geeqie.org through awstats and see some interesting facts. - - Far most of our Users come from the wikipedia page. (en) - - Second most is duckduckgo. - - Google is not a factor, only few people search our page via google. - - Starting from 7. April I see a slightly higher pagehit. I believe that to be because of SF page change. - - As far as geoip is trustable, our main users are from Italy followed by Swiss, USA and Germany, all three with similar hits. From that and that USA is so much bigger, I think, they are not a big factor. Maybe we can use that a bit for the visibility of the page. Maybe we can make it more interesting for users from America. Of course, that is only a small snapshot, only from April. But maybe it is useful.
