I think your efforts are perfect, and above and beyond. I don't need to
step in here.

Now we just have to be passing it out to people =)

Thank you Jutta for the work, and Brandon for almost making it - and I'm
happy you did not pay for that font <3.

Looks so awesome! Wee!

Ah, too fast for me! I was about to remake the entire thing, but got
stuck trying to find an acceptable replacement font (the real one is for
sale at the princely sum of $299.00!).

Sarah,
You are awesome! I have quickly "vectorized" and"dropshadowed" the image and
included the updated image in the template
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Mind_the_Gap_Award.
Could you check and ensurethat I included the correct metadata on commons?

Lots of wikilove from Sydney!

Re: [Gendergap] Mind the Gap Award is here.

2011-10-11 Thread Gillian White
Terrific! I love that logo. I love the image's historical connections and
the way it uses the word "mind". "Mind" is a great word, with its
connotations of "looking out for", and "taking care of", as well as "taking
action on". It all works well. It's a much better word than "watch", for
example, which is clunkier and harsher and passive. (I like words - you can
probably tell [?] )

[Gendergap] A roller derby league article is up for deletion

2011-10-11 Thread Laura Hale
I don't know if this has been mentioned on the list before, but there is a
roller league derby article up for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for
deletion/Romsey Town
Rollerbillies
.
I don't particularly care about the outcome either way, but there is an
issue of setting precedent for future roller derby articles that may be
nominated and that's where I care: However it ends up, it would be nice to
have it make sense. So yeah, that. :)
