I plan to use Linux as a learning tool. I'm retired from the Bell System and 
have a basic understanding of C Programming. I am attempting to load Ubuntu 
14.04 onto an old system that I built myself. As soon as I get that done, I can

I've found MacBook Airs from $300-$800 over the past few years. The
downside is that they usually need new batteries so that adds another $75
to the price (if you can install it).
