John, i feel you pain. I can't locate a link to the ccla. I would expect a
copy in svn somewhere. The private list got an acceptance from Craig (
Secretary), which is what I linked to.

For reference, the title of the CCLA is CCLA from Red Hat, Inc. for
Clebert Suconic, Andy Taylor, Justin Bertram, Youg Hao Gao, Martyn Taylor

Maybe email to secretary@ is archived somewhere members can see. I don't
know or maybe the original needed to get sent somewhere else for archiving.

We had a dicussion w/ Usergrid around their CCLA/SGA status. It was
decided at that point that CCLA != SGA, even if a SGA is referenced. The
SGA is a separate pass to the secretary.

Well it is hard to imagine something that wants to exist. Normally it is
people who have something

How do you see it possible that we take something without people, and
make it grow ? sounds
quite impossible to me.

But if there are people around this something willing to make it grow,
that is what we call a
community. With a community something can come to apache.

Please understand there is a fundamental difference between apache and e.g.
github.
- In apache, you need a community (people who believe in the project), but
can come without code at all
- in Github, you come with code, and see if others get interested in using
it.

It is 2 different ways of starting great software with different benefits
and disadvantages,

Hi all,

I wrote the ODFToolkit report last time.

I was trying to get some internal response from the project before
doing so this time. Nothing as yet.
Summary is that it is quiet but not dead.

Incubator PMC report for July 2015

codebases wishing to become part of the Foundation's efforts.

There are 43 podlings currently under incubation.

 AsterixDB

Apache AsterixDB is a scalable big data management system (BDMS) that
provides storage, management, and query capabilities for large collections
 of semi- structured data.

AsterixDB has been incubating since 2015-02-28.

Three most important issues to address in the move towards graduation:

   1. Do an Apache release.
   2. Migrate issues from Google Code
   3. Grow community

Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be
 aware of?

   No, moving steadily.

How has the community developed since the last report?

A little more outside interest in the project.

How has the project developed since the last report?

   - JSON file for Google code issues imported into AsterixDB to use
 AsterixDB for transformation and migration
   - Draft for a new version of website available
   - Development is ongoing

 Date of last release:

   No Releases yet.

When were the last committers or PMC members elected?

No new elected PPMC and/or committers since entering incubator.

 Climate Model Diagnostic Analyzer

CMDA provides web services for multi-aspect physics-based and phenomenon-

comprehensive and synergistic use of multiple observational data, reanalysis
