Apache ShardingSphere is a database clustering system providing data sharding, distributed transaction, and data(or Database?) management. My points are 1. The world `middleware` is not clear as ShardingSphere as it provides both embedded lib and proxy mode. 2. distributed governance and orchestration are not clear too. Hi All, I am not sure if this email list is the relevant one. But hope it is close enough. I believe Apache foundation could launch projects to leverage volunteers and technology in addressing covid-19 outbreak. There can be different innovative ideas, e.g., A mobile apps to help with tracking the places a covid-19 positive patient visited, to warn others if they were in the vicinity. Re: [VOTE] Apache Hudi (incubating) 0.5.2 RC2
+1 (binding) * mvn clean package from downloaded source successfully * checked signature and hash * checked LICENSE/NOTICE - there is a minor issue which should be corrected in the next release According to [1], LICENSE should mention the version of included dependencies, since their license can also change. "NOTE: It's also possible to include the text of the 3rd party license within the LICENSE file. This is best reserved for short licenses. It's important to specify the version of the dependency as licenses are sometimes changed." The NOTICE file now has the bundled dependencies bubbled up. I'm not sure if there was a need to add all of these (though there is no harm). There appears to be conflicting information in [1]. "Under normal circumstances, there is no need to modify NOTICE." "If the dependency supplies a NOTICE file, its contents must be analyzed and the relevant portions bubbled up into the top-level NOTICE file." My apologies for the delayed response. To me what is proposed seems acceptable, similar to what is being done with other Apache projects [1] [2] [3] and many others. You may also wish to consider promoting use of the "Powered by Apache" badge for your community --we've created one for you at http://apache.org/foundation/press/kit/poweredBy/ I'm also copying Mark Thomas, VP Brand Management/Trademarks, for his input. Re: [DISCUSS] Graduate Apache ShardingSphere (incubating) as a TLP
