in the java file:

  * Credit: inspired by org.apache.velocity.runtime.log.LogManager
class

I never meant to "steal" code without crediting the original author.
And I'm absolutely ready to give more credit and comply with every term
of the Jakarta license. As the project is still Alpha, it's not on the
top of my list but I keep track of everything.

I don't have a problem in volonteering but I first would like to know if
it's a reasonably feasible.

If the majority think that's this is a good idea, then it will be easier
for my patches to be applied and a new zip to be created even if there
is no release planned.

I don't think that the best approach is "Hey guys, please apply my patch
because _I_ need it".

I can not speak for the community and do not know if it is hurting anyone. I
just wanted to be sure of what I was looking at. As far as the project goes,
I have not taken a close look at it, but I can safley say that you will have
a har time converting junit users, unless your framework is really great.

I wish you the best of luck.

Feel free to join up to alexandria-dev and look at the gump proposal. It
should minimal changes to this product to get this working (gump already
produces the minimal jars). I look forward to your patches.

It only looks like. It is not related to Jakarta and I don't use the
Jakarta logo. But one of the not-so-long-term goal of my project is to
join the Jakarta community.

Because I didn't want to reinvent the wheel and that developing my
project's website is not my priority (and to save time if my project was
accepted), I decided to use the Jakarta templates for my website.

Using the templates did not only save me precious time that I invested
in developing and not html-writing, but also gave to my project a great
look. It's maybe a detail but it helped to raise the interest of
several developers. The website really helped me to build a community
around Apricot.

The cvs repository, build files are also inspired by several Jakarta
projects (Velocity and Cactus). I try to get inspiration from good
projects because I don't want to lose time making mistakes.

If I'm hurting the Jakarta community, please tell me and I will do my
best to correct my mistakes.

I took a look at your project. It looks just like jakarta's site. Why? Is it
in anyway related?
