[gentoo-dev] Boost maintenance
A few months ago I spent some time bringing dev-libs/boost up to date because it was blocking some Python issues. Sebastian Luther helped me out (I more or less proxied from his overlay [2]). However, since I have no intrinsic interest in Boost, I have found it hard to find time to keep maintaining it (particularly since it's a pretty large package, and far from my area of expertise). Sebastian also seems slightly less available, though that might be due in part to my lack of interest. In any case, I'm going to remove myself from the maintainer-list. dev-zero is still in there, but AFAICT he hasn't spent any time on it over the past six months or so. If anybody else would like to pick it up (there are a lot of enthousiastic users in bugzilla [1]), that would be swell! [gentoo-dev] Adding postfix-2.8 experimental releases to the tree
Hi all, For those of you running postfix, I was wondering if there is any interest in having the 2.8 experimental releases added to the tree. According to upstream [1] they are production quality so they should run as expected but the config setup may change a lot compared to the final release. Anyway, I'm considering adding them, masked of course, if there is interest in using them for testing purposes. Thanks, Tim [1] http://www.tigertech.net/mirrors/postfix-release/index.html

We will have several developers at FOSDEM, including 4 council members and the Foundation President. Betelgeuse has submitted a talk proposal to the distro miniconf and I'm still planning to submit a proposal as well. I don't know if anyone else is planning to submit / submitted talk proposals to the distro miniconf, the main tracks, the lightning talks or to one of the other rooms. The organizations that were assigned stands should be announced next week (14 December), but afaik no one submitted a request for Gentoo. We're also planning to have our usual dinner on Saturday. - -- Regards, Jorge Vicetto (jmbsvicetto) - jmbsvicetto at gentoo dot org Gentoo- forums / Userrel / Devrel / KDE / Elections / RelEng -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v2.0.16 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJNAYCZAAoJEC8ZTXQF1qEPQNQQANqKVud3bo399gzzxLluGDmm Gwxnwq5FVFmtcRcGiVgsTREhmfXZNp2n5x1plZLnP8CUSZHgP1ZdjLn59TjfiIsK 3wmdVjY/vb17jbnLJX/q7EHgw193ONJebKFMEMu3YJzs3hD10yYwEZRvCBMdRJy8 zXiROtgQ7v+CUaYXEyq/AVmKMIJgDncvvqtHh2QiYxReEj8EBuEnTfCPLHVeNL4J Dg7vW1sOYkgT01TxKGIJISB26M5VALUtkRu5ViplCZWxby3wuR/sRUE0iSbbzlaW MY2iK7QgDj8gYnbhqMYpJ3EnYfgdhpqP+9GeFvAajocIhWZ5ZiPtpoTGsK+QBSdR eI/8KQyB8F8Ff87P1YEJztI9Jfyu6j8/yUBzxiBdgGEqrUtZpP8wL+nK18kailFM m2Bp/SgrNvagKIS9+f49Dxf0GjPp+4lbZnbpyVP6g8Q+OU1sUGW2ARiePAOJ6LTa 2pZ/mrv3gdE8tR/WPnBNe/ABKoNxYAu24gOMM0Ay/Uc4e1ctrXfgNwicjtFsm86b QyEDLxx7jrMc2b4nl5lTB9bL0t7LrZvYY9E1KKQzUhP5nzlGMaYURGykhYRoppgS OeyJQxAwWJkh9hXIt7VXx9r3+ZcPjgUdX4ueI5ZFFFRgm/BBMG+Ln9oCstemICoP 7AsJ+JMSmN1iIW2eKowi =mGKi -END PGP SIGNATURE-
