Re: [gentoo-dev] Why isn't /root/.bash_profile in the stage tarballs?

After reading that file, it looks for ~/.bash_profile, ~/.bash_login, and ~/.profile, in that order, and reads and executes commands from the first one that exists and is readable. The --noprofile option may be used when the shell is started to inhibit this behavior." Two paragraphs down in the man page: "When an interactive shell that is not a login shell is started, bash reads and executes commands from ~/.bashrc, if that file exists." In this case ~/.bashrc is sourced directly. Cheers, Renat -- Probleme kann man niemals mit derselben Denkweise loesen, durch die sie entstanden sind. [gentoo-dev] gecko-sdk and mozilla
Hi all! I don't know where to ask this question, so I'll ask here. Is it necessary to build net-libs/gecko-sdk if you have www-client/mozilla already installed? Right now I am in this situation so I was wondering why I have to build the same source twice. Since the USE-flags are the same for both packages it seems useless and a waste of time to have them both. Can someone elaborate on this? Variable names and commands are bright blue in the old docs. The new color is darker and that does not improve readability since the contrast is not optimal. I think a brighter tint would make it easier to distinguish the text color from the (highlighted) parts.
