You *should* have the information to assign the bug in the build log,
provided it's available, as the metadata.xml maintainer information should
be printed at the top of it.

I think automating assignment for properly defined package names in bug
summaries is something that has been discussed before but never properly
implemented.

BTW, maybe this process can be partially automated? In most cases
we have to look for category/package in a bug title and add/cc
mails from metadata.xml to this bug. Of course, in some cases bug
may have references to several packages or no valid references at
all; false assignments are also possible as well as not properly
submitted bugs (e.g. missing build logs and so on) . But in general
such tool should reduce workload greatly.

Another approach will be to allow users to assign bugs themselves.

 Best regards,
 Andrew Savchenko

Is this notice automated? Feel free to ping us (b-w) as well or instead.

Thank you to everyone whom helped along here and there.

Spent a full two hours on helping to empty the queue; there are some
bugs with pending information left, and one I don't know how to assign.

It's automated, check runs once a day.

Good work everyone, queue is down to 9 bugs at the moment :)

Cheers,
