Hi all,

Me and my wife and son are moving to Australia. We are now waiting for the
visa's to arrive, and after that will need some time to set ourselves up. Our
computers however are being shipped as we speak and will only arive in
australia after roughly 6 weeks. I'm looking to buy a laptop, but connectivity
will be problematic anyways. As such I will not be able to contribute as much

So I am guessing this means that we are free to touch your packages?

Well,

If you don't completely restructure them. I currently maintain
sys-libs/db and subversion (and sort of look a bit after neon as being
orphaned and required for svn). Robbat2 sometimes also looks after db so
he's the guy who can tell you what to do with it. It's a bit complex in
its relationship with dependants. (So be very very diligent if you want
to unmask it, doing so will cause a number of bugs that I'll not be able
to investigate properly due to a lack of a gentoo host.

We now also got the visa's and will fly on April 21th. After that I'll
probably buy a laptop and be up and running ASAP, depending on the
internet access.

  app-laptop/laptop-mode-tools
  app-laptop/radeontool

I'll take these too

  net-wireless/madwifi-ng
  net-wireless/madwifi-ng-tools

I'm very reluctant to take these - I do have the hardware, but it's on my home
amd64 hardened server whose main connection is wireless and getting wired to
is a PITA.

Any other madwifi users want to step up and take these? I know there are a few
of you ;)

I could probably do madwifi-ng - I don't own the hardware personally,
but my best friend, and co-worker has a card that I can use at any time,
so I have it available to me. Only have x86 systems however.

Hi all,

As some of you already know, I will be taking a hiatus from Gentoo
starting this weekend. While I am gone, the mobile herd is pretty much
left without active developers. Uberlord and phreak have already
adopted some of the more critical ebuilds, but quite a few are still
orphaned as seen in this report from 'herdstat -dp brix':

Developer: Henrik Brix Andersen (brix)

Hopefully someone will step up and adopt the remaining ebuilds. I

ebuilds through e-mail and IRC.
