[gentoo-dev] QA last rites for dev-libs/libowfat; net-misc/slidentd www-servers/gatling
# Diego E. Pettenò flamee...@gentoo.org (09 Aug 2009) # on behalf of QA team # # Removal of dev-libs/libowfat because it fails to build (bug # #272507) and lacks a proper Gentoo maintainer. Dependencies # follow the mask. # # sys-process/minit is already masked for removal # # net-misc/slidentd also links statically (bug #273326). # # Removal on 2009-10-08 dev-libs/libowfat net-misc/slidentd www-servers/gatling

dev-libs/libowfat _does_ build. I currently have the version complained about in the bug installed on amd64, try instead compiling with gcc-4.4 and/or sending your bug report upstream. If it doesn't build with gcc-4.4, it better go sooner rather than later, because its going to break in a week. He doesn't maintain the package, do you? If so, then please send the bug report upstream and become the maintainer of this package if you want to keep it around. See the bug, the problem was in dietlibc, which has actually already been fixed, which is why there's a dietlibc bump bug currently waiting for someone to resolve ;)

Once #280941 is done we can save dev-libs/libowfat. Víctor.
